  1. How's it going "BUCK'EYE' DOC?" The AC/DC show that I saw last month in San Antonio was not as loud as I have seen in many previous AC/DC concerts. The HIGHWAY TO HELL and BACK IN BLACK Tours were loud as hell. I lost a lot of my hearing attending those two shows ALONE as well as many concerts throughout the 1970's and 1980's. ROCK ON!
  2. How's it going "Dzldoc?" Thats right, how could I ever forget AC/DC? I remember that my ears were ringing loud for over a week after that show. I was even sitting in the fourth row on the floor away from the stage. THAT WAS ONE LOUD CONCERT! Imagine the extremely loud guitar riffs and licks coming from the loud and powerful amplifiers of Angus Young. My ears are ringing loud just mentioning it to all of you. ROCK ON!
  3. How's it going "songbird?" I, myself, thought that this was an audible Rock concert but it wasn't. It was actually a 1994 soccer (British Football) game. According to Tribalfootball.com, the loudest fans in the Premier League are the home crowd in Sunderland. I was in TOTAL disbelief when I read that Sunderland's home crowd cheer section averaged peak volumes between 129 dB up to 150 dB which is louder than a Rock concert (115 dB) and almost as loud as an air raid siren and military jet (130 dB). I know for fact that I wouldn't even have any hearing left if I attended one of their games. ROCK ON!
  4. How's it going "songbird?" The world's loudest concert was held in 1994 at 129 dB. I saw two LED ZEPPELIN shows, one at THE FORUM in L.A. on 23 June 1977 and the other at the OAKLAND COLISEUM one month later on 23 July 1977. After doing some research on my own, the concert at THE FORUM was between 90 and 95 dB. The OAKLAND show was between 95 and 100 dB. I'm not very sure about SIMON & GARFUNKEL but you can rest assure that their shows were under 80 dB. I know for fact that I'm losing a lot of my hearing after seeing hundreds of concerts throughout my lifetime. I hear a whistling tone all the time now. I hope that this helps. ROCK ON!
  5. How's it going "Dzldoc?" Before THE BEATLES even stepped foot on American soil, THE BEATLES were America's number 1 band. B-E-A-T-L-E-M-A-N-I-A has arrived! ROCK ON!
  6. How's it going "docron?" Believe me when I say that THESE ALBUMS ARE DEFINITELY MUST-HAVES! ROCK ON!
  7. How's it going "docron?" All three parts of these blistering live shows were officially released in 1998 by a small record label named Snapper Music Inc. The Original 8-Track Master Tapes were found in 1998 and were remixed and digitally remastered. the result product is an incredible live show by FLEETWOOD MAC. You can buy all three parts on three CD's on Amazon, E-bay and Barnes and Noble. These are definitely three CD's that NO ONE should be without. ROCK ON!
  8. How's it going "Magic Sam" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? At last, I found this thread. If you read my FLEETWOOD MAC thread, Peter Green may have been solely responsible for the Hard Rock Blues sound that he started with JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUESBREAKERS in 1967. That sound would later rub off on Carlos Santana and Mick Taylor forever thus taking Green's sound to a higher level as evident with SANTANA'S rendition of Green's immortal classic anthem "Black Magic Woman" and Taylor's powerful Hard Rock Blues sound that he would bring into THE ROLLING STONES in 1969. Peter Green never received the recognition that he truly deserved until the late 1990's when Snapper Music Inc. released the long awaited three-part CD series of FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY recorded on 5, 6 & 7 February 1970. The reason for this is because with the departure and resignation of Peter Green from FLEETWOOD MAC, just two weeks after the Boston Tea Party shows, the plans for a live FLEETWOOD MAC album (The Boston Tea Party shows) were shelved indefinitely where they remained for two decades. As time went on, any accomplishments and achievements that PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC contributed in the Rock n' Roll world from 1967-1970, would soon be greatly overshadowed by the new FLEETWOOD MAC line-up of the 1970's consisting of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood that the whole world would soon be accustomed to. This new line-up would move on to recording the band's masterpiece landmark album RUMOURS which would result in taking the band to higher levels and boundaries unimagined. Despite all of the accomplishments and achievements that the new FLEETWOOD MAC has contributed in the Rock n' Roll world thus resulting in leaving their mark in Rock n' Roll history, the accomplishments and achievements that PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC contributed in the Rock n' Roll world can never be denied. When you think about it, PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC from Rock's glorious past, would unknowingly lay down the foundations and musical roots that would soon evolve into the new FLEETWOOD MAC of today. ROCK ON!
  9. How's it going "xmas" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I am a big SANTANA fan! I own every single SANTANA album that was released and I still love all of them to this day. I have seen SANTANA live 10 times and he just keeps getting better. I am so glad that "xmas" posted a thread on SANTANA, I did not know that there was a thread on SANTANA and I was getting ready to write one. "xmas" did save me a lot of writing in the long run. As a friendly reminder, I wrote in my FLEETWOOD MAC thread that Peter Green would be a big influence on Carlos Santana. If you listen to the song "The Super-Natural" from the A HARD ROAD album by JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUESBREAKERS released in 1967, you will know EXACTLY where Carlos Santana copied his trademark guitar sound from. Also, Carlos Santana would record a Peter Green composition song that would go on to becoming a trademark SANTANA anthem. The name of the song, "Black Magic Woman." Please do not get me wrong, I am not putting down Carlos Santana in any way. I just want Peter Green to get his due when deserved. Peter Green has become a forgotten guitarist as years went on and many of his accomplishments and achievements in FLEETWOOD MAC have gone unrecognized until the new millenium came upon us. Now, PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC is finally getting the recognition and attention that they truly deserve. If you haven't listened to FLEETWOOD MAC (The Peter Green Era) 1967-1970, you are missing out on some of the greatest Hard Rock Blues music that you have ever heard. For those of you that are Mick Taylor fans of THE ROLLING STONES 1969-1974 period, listen to Peter Green's guitar playing and sound style during his years with John Mayall and later with FLEETWOOD MAC. Listening to Green's style of guitar playing and sound, you will know exactly where Mick Taylor copied his Hard Rock Blues sound from. Mick Taylor would bring the Peter Green Hard Rock Blues sound with him when he joined THE ROLLING STONES in 1969 and gave THE STONES new life. THE ROLLING STONES were indeed, THE GREATEST ROCK N" ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD in 1969! Everytime you hear a SANTANA song especially "Black Magic Woman," Peter Green is there in his music. ROCK ON!
  10. How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I couldn't sleep much tonight so I figured that I would make myself useful and post another FLEETWOOD MAC comment here on the forum. Without further delay, AND AWAY WE GO! Through the years, between 1967 up to now (2009), FLEETWOOD MAC has graced and blessed us with some of Rock's all-time greatest live shows ever. However, in my opinion, not only do I think that the "Live At the Boston Tea Party" shows Parts 1, 2 & 3 recorded live on 5, 6 & 7 February 1970, is the greatest live shows that FLEETWOOD MAC ever performed in the band's entire history, but I truly feel with all of my heart that these live shows should rank in the Top 20 as one of Rock's all-time greatest live performances ever. FLEETWOOD MAC was definitely in top form when they performed live at the Boston Tea Party during those three days in February 1970. Listening to all three parts of this blistering live performances, one cannot help but think that some of the songs that they performed actually sound a lot like early ZEPPELIN, album's 1 and 2. No one would ever believe that FLEETWOOD MAC could actually kick ass the way they did on those February nights in 1970. These three part CD's without a doubt, capture Peter Green performing at his absolute best. It was also during the Boston Tea Party shows that Peter Green was about to submit his resignation as the band's lead and rhythm guitarist and vocalist. Two weeks after the Boston Tea Party shows, Peter Green made it official, Peter Green was quitting FLEETWOOD MAC. I guess that it is fair to say, in a way, that the Boston Tea Party shows in February 1970, were Peter Green's last hurrah and farewell. And if that is the case, Peter Green went out with a BIG BANG! What a way to quit a great legendary band, by giving his very best performance of a lifetime as a farewell. I am sure glad that someone recorded these blistering live shows because no one would have ever believed it. In reality, the live recordings of the Boston Tea Party shows from 5, 6 & 7 February 1970 were actually going to be released as a FLEETWOOD MAC live album shortly after the shows ended. However, all plans for a live album release were cancelled due to the resignation of Peter Green two weeks later resulting in shelving the project indefinitely. Just think, these live tapes remained in the vault for two decades without seeing a day of release. There have been numerous bootlegs of these legendary shows that surfaced in the 1970's and 1980's but the sound quality was awful and did no justice at all for the band's performance. But all of that would change in 1998 when the original 8-Track master tapes were found, remixed and remastered using today's updated recording technology process. Snapper Music Inc. would release all three part CD's in 1998. If you have not heard these three-part CD's of FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY, I highly recommend that you buy them when you get a chance. Here are all of the song tracks for all three part CD's as follows: FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY PART ONE (1.) Black Magic Woman (6:45) (2.) Jumping At Shadows (4:48) (3.) Like It This Way (4:28) (4.) Only You (4:23) (5.) Rattlesnake Shake (24:38) (6.) I Can't Hold Out (6:35) (7.) Got To Move (3:25) (8.) Red Hot Mama (2:55) (6.) Teenage Darling (3:58) (7.) Keep A-Knocking (4:44) (8.) Jenny Jenny (7:44) (9.) Encore (5:00) FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY PART THREE (1.) On We Jam (7:56) For those of you that have not heard these live shows, I do hope that you will buy these three part CD's and listen to them for yourselves in their entirety. I do strongly believe that you will feel the same way that I do when you are done listening to all of them. For those of you that have heard these live shows on CD, please post a comment here on this thread and give me your true opinions of these shows that way our readers, that are not familiar with these live shows, will get other opinions and views from other fellow readers. I would truly like to hear what all of you have to say about these blistering ass kicking shows. And as the saying goes, "AND THE REST IS ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY," am I wrong? In the mean time, ROCK ON!
  11. How's it going fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I just got home from the local bar and I am going to get a head start here on the tragic story of Danny Kirwan. After I get through with Danny Kirwan's story, I am going to write a little about FLEETWOOD MAC'S blistering live shows at THE BOSTON TEA PARTY on 5, 6 & 7 February 1970. So without further delay, AND AWAY WE GO! DANNY KIRWAN BIOGRAPHY Daniel David Kirwan was born in South London on 13 May 1950. Kirwan's early guitar talents were noticed and discovered by Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood in a Brixton pub, fronting a band called BOILERHOUSE. Green was so impressed with Kirwan's playing that he booked some dates for the group at the Marquee and encouraged the trio to go professional. Kirwan, the 18 year guitarist, by then a protege of Green and a fan of FLEETWOOD MAC, was up for it but his rhythm section was not. Green then auditioned some musicians in the hopes of building a new group for Kirwan, but when no one worthwhile could be found, Danny was invited (At Mick Fleetwood's invitation) to join FLEETWOOD MAC in August 1968. Former FLEETWOOD MAC Producer Mike Vernon recalls: Danny Kirwan had a guitar style that wasn't like anyone else I'd heard in England. There was a certain vibrato in Kirwan's fingerwork that was quite unusual. Kirwan also had a really nice, angelic melodious voice. Green, who had begun to feel as if Jeremy Spencer (FLEETWOOD MAC'S other rhythm guitarist) was holding him back as far as musical creativity, he was thrilled with the addition of Kirwan as the band's third guitarist. The reason for this is because Kirwan was full of creative ideas that helped move FLEETWOOD MAC out of the Blues sound and into the Rock music mainstream that would result in bringing the best out of Peter Green. Danny Kirwan was an exceptional guitar player who, in turn, inspired Peter Green into writing the most moving and powerful songs of his life. Kirwan played lead on many Green compositions and was distinguished by a unique pronounced vibrato. Mick Fleetwood recalls that the shy guitarist was the first person in a major way that laid the grounds of foundations for myself and John McVie being able to feel quite comfortable with harmony. Mick Fleetwood continued on by saying that looking back on it now, it was Danny Kirwan's guitar contributions that really rose FLEETWOOD MAC'S musical sound into another level of musical openness that was to become a major part of FLEETWOOD MAC. Although extremely musically talented, it was Peter Green that knew how to bring out Danny Kirwan's god-given talent. However, there was a dark side to Danny Kirwan that would be his downfall. Danny Kirwan's personality was a bit on the strange side. Christine McVie remembers him being really really neurotic and difficult to work with. Christine McVie recalls how Danny was one of those type of people that would never look you in the eye, to be around him was a very nerve-wracking thing. And because of this, Danny Kirwan and Christine McVie would never explore their talents together by writing songs together. Bob Welch agrees that Danny Kirwan was one of the strangest people that he had ever met in his life. Welch contends that while Kirwan was very nervous, at the same time, he was also a very intuitive musician and at the age of 24, Kirwan played with surprising maturity and soulfulness. There was an idealistic and pure thing about Kirwan that was destined for greatness. In my opinion, one of the biggest setbacks and downfall in Danny Kirwan's life was that while FLEETWOOD MAC was living at Benifold, according to many of the band's accounts, Danny married his pregnant girlfriend, Claire, and had a son. Peter Green's thoughts on the matter was: "I feel badly because I introduced him to this girl, an ex-girlfriend of mine. Claire was a mad girl that used to hit Kirwan with his Les Paul! I don't think that kirwan should have married Claire, he should have just let her have the baby. Green continued by saying that Kirwan wanted to do the right and noble thing by marrying her. Danny and Claire are now divorced. NOTE: I would like to say for the record that Claire was the "Black Magic Woman" that Peter Green wrote about in his song. Danny Kirwan stayed with the band for several years, through both Green's and Spencer's departures and Bob Welch's arrival. Kirwan made significant contributions to FUTURE GAMES and BARE TREES albums. It was in 1972, when FLEETWOOD MAC was touring in support of the BARE TREES album, that Danny's storied binge drinking and volatile behavior would become a bit too much to handle. The whole situation came to a head one fall night when Kirwan and Welch got into an argument over tuning a guitar. Five minutes before the show, Kirwan smashed his own head against the wall, then took his Les Paul and broke it to pieces and lastly, refused to go on stage with the band. Instead of going on stage, Kirwan would sit at the soundboard and watched the band flounder through the show. Afterwards, Kirwan went so far as to negatively criticize the band. Later on that same night, the rest of the band decided that they could not carry on like this anymore, the tour was cut short by being cancelled and Mick Fleetwood was given the task of firing Danny Kirwan. The scene was dreadful! No one had ever been asked to leave FLEETWOOD MAC before and Danny had no idea how alienated from him the rest of the band had become. NOTE: I have had several conversations with Mick Fleetwood through the years and it is Fleetwood's opinion that Kirwan's downfall would really begin the day that Peter Green left FLEETWOOD MAC. Peter Green was Kirwan's idol and mentor that also knew how to bring out the best in Danny Kirwan. When Green left, Kirwan was lost. Upon leaving the band, Danny continued to pursue his musical interests and in 1975, he released a solo album entitled SECOND CHAPTER (Kirwan's band included ex-Chicken Shack members Andy Sylvester and Paul Raymond) which reportedly was none too impressive. Kirwan's second album, MIDNIGHT IN SAN JUAN, released in 1977, was said to be better than its predecessor. However, due to the album lacking the strength of the Fleetwood/McVie rhythm section behind him, Kirwan's songs seemed extremely limp. Unable to recapture the glory of the FLEETWOOD MAC years, these days, Danny Kirwan is rumored to be a destitute alcoholic. In his 1990 autobiography, Mick Fleetwood claimed that Kirwan lived in a South London Mental Hospital. In a 1994 interview, Peter Green had this to say about Danny Kirwan: "It was Mick that asked Danny to join, not me. I truly believe that Mick and I are solely responsible for where Danny is now. I wish that I could help him but I don't know how." An interviewer from Guitar Player magazine managed to track Kirwan down in London and wrote: "Although friendly, Kirwan declined to be interviewed." As reported by 'Rekon' in the FLEETWOOD MAC Newsgroup on March 19, 1996, "Danny Kirwan is currently living homeless in Covent Garden in London. Although not present at the induction ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, Danny Kirwan was inducted as a member of FLEETWOOD MAC, into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame on January 12, 1998 As of now, 2009, Kirwan is still homeless. What a sad tragic story. ROCK ON!
  12. How's it going "docron?" I am glad that you really like the Peter Green era. You are right, the FLEETWOOD MAC sound of today sounds completely different when compared to the sound of the FLEETWOOD MAC 1967-1970 period. These are two different bands. This weekend, I will finally post the true and tragic story of another FLEETWOOD MAC alumni from the 1967-1970 period, his name is Mr. Danny Kirwan. Kirwan's story is a tragic one like that of his mentor Peter Green. After reading numerous articles and biographies on FLEETWOOD MAC, Peter Green and personal conversations with Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie, I may have an insight of what went wrong with Danny Kirwan. I am looking forward to sharing all of this true information with all of you soon. In the mean time, ROCK ON!
  13. How's it going "Cletus" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? So far, the week has been going great and fast to say the least. I am a big fan of KANSAS. My two favorite albums by KANSAS are MASQUE from 1975 and LEFTOVERTURE from 1976. Both of these albums bring out the best in KANSAS. As for the songs, I really love the original long version of "Carry On Wayward Son," The Wall," "Magnum Opus," "It Takes A Woman's Love To Make a Man," "Two Cents Worth," "Icarus (Borne On Wings Of Steel)," "All The World," "Child Of Innocence" "Point Of No Return" and "Dust In the Wind" to name a few. Steve Walsh's voice would become the band's spokesperson and messenger throughout the band's career giving the band the vital vocal ingredient needed for their sound. Great thread, ROCK ON!
  14. How's it going "The Rover" as well as our fellow die hard hard core ZEPPELIN fanatics? I hope that the week is treating all of you well so far. I am on lunch right now but I figured that I would post a comment here on "The Rover's" Thread on the late great Buddy Holly. It was a sad tragedy that could have very well buried Rock n' Roll forever. However, his death should not be in vain. Buddy's music lives on in spirit and because of this, as long as music still exists, Buddy's memory will always be among the elite performers in Rock n' Roll's glorious past and future. I have enclosed the lyrics to DON MCLEAN'S classic song entitled "American Pie." This ones for you Buddy, Ritchie and J.P. AMERICAN PIE Music & Lyrics by Don McLean Verse 1 A long long time ago I can still remember how that music used to make me smile And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they'd be happy for a while But February made me shiver With every paper I'd deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride But something touched me deep inside The Day The Music Died So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levee But the levee was dry And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Verse 2 Did you write the Book of Love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so Do you believe in Rock n' Roll Can music save your mortal soul And can you teach me how to dance real slow Well, I know that you're in love with him 'Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym You both kicked off your shoes Man, I dig those rhythm & blues I was a lonely, teenage broncin' buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck But I knew I was out of luck The Day The Music Died I started singin' So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levee But the levee was dry And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Verse 3 Now for ten years we've been on our own And moss grows fat on a rollin' stone But that's not how it used to be When the Jester sang for the King and Queen In a coat he borrowed from James Dean In a voice that came from you and me Oh, and while the King was looking down the Jester stole his thorny crown The courtroom was adjourned No verdict was returned And while Lenin read a book on Marx The quartet practiced in the park And we sang dirges in the dark The Day The Music Died We were singin' So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levee But the levee was dry And them good oldboys were drinkin' whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Verse 4 Helter Skelter in a summer swelter The birds flew off with a fallout shelter Eight miles high and falling fast It landed foul on the grass The players tried for a forward pass With the Jester on the sidelines in a cast Now the half-time air was sweet perfume While the Sergeants played a marching tune We all got up to dance Oh but we never got the chance 'Cause the players tried to take the field The marching band refused to yield Do you recall what was revealed The Day The Music Died We started singing So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levee But the levee was dry And them good old boys were drinkin' Whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Verse 5 Oh, and there we were, all in one place A generation lost in space With no time left to start again So come on, Jack, be nimble, Jack be quick Jack Flash sat on a candlestick 'Cause fire is the devil's only friend Oh, and as I watched him on the stage My hands were clenched in fists of rage No angel born in Hell Could break that Satan's spell And as flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite I saw Satan laughing with delight The Day The Music Died He was singing So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levee But the levee was dry And them good old boys were drinklin' Whiskey and rye Singin' this'll be the day that I die This'll be the day that I die Verse 6 I met a girl who sang the blues And I asked her for some happy news But shejust smiled and turned away I went down to the sacred store Where I'd heard the music years before But the man there said the music wouldn't play And in the streets the children screamed The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed But not a word was spoken The church bells all were broken And the three men I admire most The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost They caught the last train for the coast The Day The Music Died And they were singin' Bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levy but the levy was dry And them good old boys were drinkin' Whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die They were singin' Bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my chevy to the levy But the levy was dry And them good old boys were drinking Whiskey and rye Singing this'll be the day that I die NOTE: I have used the lyrics from Don McLean's own website, though I have never got full confirmation that these are entirely accurate. However, these lyrics are pretty close to the original. ROCK ON!
  15. how's it going "Jahfin?" DAMN, I missed that tour too! Now we need a "WHO WILL FIGHT FIRST" tour featuring OASIS, THE KINKS and THE BLACK CROWES, I would definitely pay a lot of money to see that one. ROCK ON!
  16. How's it going "The Rover?" I'm getting ready to go to sleep but after seeing this thread, I just had to comment. I LOVE CHARLES HARDIN A.K.A. BUDDY HOLLY! This great legend was without a doubt, WAY FAR AHEAD OF HIS TIME. Before Brian Wilson, there was Buddy Holly. Holly was one of the very first complete artists that wrote and sang his own songs, produced, arranged and engineered his music as well as other artists in the studio. Losing Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. (The Big Bopper) Richardson on that fateful and fatal day of February 1959, Rock n' Roll suffered its first real tragedy ever. "THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED" was one of the biggest major losses in Rock n' Roll history. To this very day, their music lives on and will never be forgotten. ROCK ON!
  17. How's it going "dragster?" I really truly love THE KINKS but I just wish that the Davies Brothers could have gotten along a lot better rather than duke it out on stage like they did frequently so many times throughout the band's history. The Robinson Brothers from THE BLACK CROWES took right where the Davies Brothers left off and carried on the Rock n' Roll fighting tradition brilliantly. It would be a great idea to book both of these bands together and have them both tour together as the "WHO WILL FIGHT FIRST TOUR?" I would pay to see this tour, how bout all of you? ROCK ON!
  18. How's it going "dragster?" Long time no hear! I LOVE THE KINKS! I saw THE KINKS live in L.A. in the 1970's, GREAT BAND. Sometimes I truly believe that Ray Davies is the BENNY HILL of Rock n' Roll. ROCK ON!
  19. How's it going "Hotplant?" LONG LIVE THE KING OF ROCK N' ROLL! ROCK ON!
  20. How's it going "johnthomasmoby?" Thanks again for your understanding. ROCK ON!
  21. How's it going "danelectro?" I admit, I TOTALLY forgot about both FANNY and BERTHA. I owe both you and "johnthomasmoby" a great deal of gratitude for reminding me. Now I'm going to have to write up a thread on FANNY and BERTHA in the future. Thanks again for the reminder. ROCK ON!
  22. How's it going "johnthomasmoby?" I am truly glad that I have all of you around to correct me when I f*c* up and this is truly one of them on my part. I owe both you and "danelectro" a great deal of gratitude for reminding me about FANNY and BERTHA. I have TOTALLY forgotten about them. There are so many bands and very few brain cells or as Robert Plant once said: "Give or take a brain cell!" I guess that I'm going to have to write a thread on them in the future. Thanks again for the reminder. ROCK ON!
  23. How's it going "LukeTheDuke?" THE RUNAWAYS were a great band indeed. ROCK ON!
  24. How's it going "Roxie?" You would definitely love this band, this band was truly for real. Despite being in their teens, this all-female band were wilder than most all-male bands. Had JANIS lived, she would have been proud. JANIS would have corrupted THE RUNAWAYS even more and they would have loved every minute of it. ROCK ON!
  25. How's it going "Bong-Man?" Hollywood needs to make a movie about you "Bong-Man!" Yeah, those wild spandex jumpsuits and Lingerie that Cherie Currie and the band were wearing were far ahead of their time. ROCK ON!
