Michael Page Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Great post I love their cover of black dog. Virtual Zeppelin-Black Dog Quote
No1ZeppelinFan Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Fantastic stuff. Thnx! It says here:http://www.vanderbilly.com/Virtual+Zeppelin+launched,41,3.html "Each player records their respective parts and shoots a video which is then sent to Japan where Jun626 does the final edits. None of the players have ever met and likely never will. many more songs are in store and this project will hopefully fluorish as Zeppelin fans around the world just can't get enough" Quote
beatbo Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) vanderbilly is a member of this forum and if you're nice, perhaps he can shed some light on the challenges of doing a "virtual" project. vanderbilly also has an excellent guitar lesson site for all levels of players. it has tons of zep, tons of different teachers, different styles, tunings, slide, the works. check it out: http://www.vanderbilly.com/ Edited August 23, 2009 by beatbo Quote
Ddladner Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 It's like having them back again Know this is old news, but I just recently heard this cover. WOW!!!!!!!! Quote
The Dark Lord Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Fine work indeed. I should think that Jimmy, Robert, and John Paul Jones would be suitably impressed. Quote
Ddladner Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Hi DL! I certainly am impressed! I've always loved TYG...the subtlety of the vocals accentuates the emotion of this great song, and this virtual group nails it! Their other covers are very nice as well. Quote
azad Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 They are really good. I haven't heard better recorded Zeppelin covers. I know playing live would be a different thing altogether because of 'no overdubs', but maybe the guitarist could be good enough to improvise and still capture that same level of quality, or maybe not? I wonder if anyone else can point me to others that are that good or better? It's always interesting hearing people do their versions of great music. Quote
RolandDeschain Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Its great but the vocalist need some long golden locks Quote
