This one on September 2, features the music of The Beatles and Pink Floyd. The music of our heroes Led Zeppelin has also been featured. Because this is not the FIRST time they have tried to bring Laserium back. A few years ago, the Laserium guys took over the old, decrepit Vine St. Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. near Vine St., and after refurbishing the place, they screened Laserium shows daily. There were separate shows devoted to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles and the Doors, as well as shows compiling modern bands like Radiohead and Oasis. Their hope was that it would be a permanent home for Laserium, as they had recently been given the boot from the Griffith Park Observatory during the Observatory's own restoration. But the law of diminishing returns on laserium shows(it's cheaper and just as effective to take a $5 tab of acid and listen to Led Zeppelin at home...not that I'm advising you to take drugs. Kids-just say no! Do as I say, not as I do. ), and the fact that it was on the worst block of Hollywood Blvd, next to The Cave, the worst and most pitiful strip club in the world, spelled D-O-O-M.
