Anyone compare this to the version from the Godfather "Ascension on the Wane" box? Or from Weedwacker's excellent transfer (which Godfather almost certainly used)?

I downloaded KRW_CO's recent transfer (I'm a big fan of his uploads btw) and it is identical in sound quality to a DAT5->CDR version I received way back in 2000. Not sure how useful this info will be but just an fyi.

Yeah, I think Godfather's is the best - they use Weedwacker's superior transfer (which was done in 24-bit/96kHz), but they've done something to it, to polish it up nicely without screwing it up.

Still, those KRW_CO transfers often are really great. I might just have to grab it to compare.
