Technically, the 3-dimensional ones are pyramids not triangles, so for the purposes of the quiz, they shouldn't count towards the answer. But, according to my count of 37, you're still missing a few.

I lost the original article so I don't know the true answer , but I get 37 too counting each small segment , then 2 , 3 , onwards

12 x 1 segment triangles

12 x 2 segment triangles

6 x 3 segment triangles

6 x 4 segment triangles

1 x 6 segment triangles
