This is my potato patch of Yukon Gold, German Buttery and Austrian Crescent.
If it pans out, I may create a local vodka distillery!

This was growing up through the concrete patio blocks when I moved in here 2 years ago. I kept it watered as well as I could until the summer heat finally did it in. But I have no green thumb. 😕

Couldn't have a garden now here in SoCal if one wanted to. With the drought they are now mandating that you can only water plants one day per week. That doesn't keep a lawn or garden alive, not in this semi arid climate.

California will be turning into Dune's planet Arrakis before too long.

Jabe,

Nice garden BTW.  How much time per week does it take to have something that green?

Lol. Looks good jabe

Thanks, man! Hard to beat a fresh picked vine ripe tomato from your garden.
mrs jabe and I are making a batch of salsa tomorrow... I've got 70+ tomato plants of 12 varieties I started from seed.
Also corn, pole beans, eggplant, cucumbers, squash, okra and several varieties of Hatch (New Mexico) peppers.

Yeah, I kinda go overboard on this but I love it.

Man oh man what a rewarding hobby. Boy oh boy just looking at those pictures gets me in a food mood. How do you deal with pests in your garden? I know they can be real pain in the butt.
