caroselambra~
The Who are my BOYS. Saw them in Atlantic City on Wholoween and in DC 11/3/2008. Totally FREAKING AWESOME!! Love Love THE WHO. undoubtedly brilliant and one of my all time favourite bands! i have all their *original vinyl albums* and at one time loved them to bits! BUT...somewhere in the back of my mind there is the pete townshend child pornography issue - that just won't go away. he has tainted the legend that was both him and The Who - well he has for me anyway. i cant help feeling he got off lightly with his *just doing research* excuse - i mean come on!!! AND at the end of the day he still had to sign the sex offenders register. why did he have to that if he was innocent? So you think he was doing it for a knuckle shuffle then... From the 100s of thousands of people that paid to see The WHO over the past few years, I'd say you are in the minority...... Most people will accept that PT just made a mistake, was maybe foolish, in looking at, not downloading a small number unacceptable images. PennyLane
I wish Roger Daltrey would grow his hair back - sure do miss his long hair. Still love Robert Plant's long hair. There is something about men and their long curly hair....

Swede
Pervert or not, he was a great songwriter and I still love me some old The Who. After all, the band wasn't just about PT. On the other hand, I wouldn't go see The Who today as both John and Keith are missing, and I've never liked the arena rock Who. I prefer the pre-Who's Next era of them. MOD MOD MOD!!! Swede
Well, personally I can't say whether I like him or not since I don't know him and I know too little about that incident to say anything about it really. Though I agree there is something weird and creepy about him since it happend. But I can't judge an artists 35 year musical career based upon the personal life and views they have, at least not when this has happend in recent years. There are probably too many I would have too refuse listening to if I did that.. All those Phil Spector recordings.. JMHO. It's interesting though, John and Roger chose to keep playing with the guy, they know him. Wouldn't you rely on their judgement? Or did they keep going because of the $$$? I don't know.. DoubleNecker
Wow.....some posts should be deleted. Like...seriously. I always enjoy watching GROWN ADULTS WHO HAVE LIFE EXPERIENCE argue like children. EDIT: I just noticed this happened like...a week ago. ANYWAYS I've recently (and finally) listened to Live at The Isle of Wight. Hot damn, what a concert. I know I know, "It's not as great as Leeds, yuk yuk" well, it was still great. JTM
I got the Live at Kilburn DVD as an xmas present off one of my sons...i would normaly have bought it the day it was released......But knowing that Dave would have a problem choosing me a present i chose to take the gamble that this was what he would get me. Well the gamble paid off..........It was well worth the wait. The Kilburn show is awesome with Townshend at his firey angry petulant best acting like a real twat at times particularly towards the end of My Wife where he loses his rag completely, really funny..Go 'ead Pete..let it out...... And the Coliseum performance on The second disc..well that is pure magic......Every WHO fan needs this set.
