  1. Thanks. I sent you a message with the link.
  2. This is the third installment in The Stereo Project series. Robert's voice is louder than it's been in past releases of this show. I also split the guitar so it's in both channels, which gives it a fuller sound. Send me a message if you want a link.
  3. Thanks for the info, guys. I'm kind of surprised they waited over a month to put tickets on sale for the extra shows after the initial ones sold out so quickly. Also, do either of you know if Zep was the first (and/or last) to use trains to bring fans into London from different cities for shows?
  4. Thanks for posting that. It was in NME. Do you know if the same type of ad ran in other magazines? Also, that issue is from March 15, the day on which tickets went on sale for the first three scheduled shows. Do you know when they added the 17th and 18th shows?
  5. I'd like studio versions of "Train Kept a Rolling" and "As Long As I Have You".
  6. Check your messages for the link. I'm not sure turning soundboards into stereo recordings will ever create something that's good enough for Jimmy to consider releasing. However, it could be sufficient for some of the stuff that was officially released in mono (BBC sessions, etc.) Those recordings already sound good and stereo versions could be worthy of a new release. I also think other bands who are less picky about sound quality will jump on the opportunity to turn their soundboards into commercial releases, so once the technology becomes more widespread they may take advantage of it.
  7. I worked on it a long time ago. I'll take a listen to it to see if it's any good. It was before I was able to remix shows into stereo, so it will need some fixing up even if it sounds decent. For now, the 3/21/75 show is the next one I'm doing from '75. I spent some time on it today and it's going pretty well.
  8. Brief interview with one of the organizers of the Texas International Pop Festival (no mentions of Zep):
  9. Low 90's Fahrenheit (around 33/34 Celsius) and humid. This Summer, we set our record for the number of days at or above 90. Can't wait for Fall.
  10. Your understanding of what's possible is out of date. Here's a mono soundboard recording remixed to stereo with extreme channel separation.
  11. The site says it contains the following. Based on the fact they are only asking US$38 for it, this doesn't seem like anything earth shattering: superb sundboard1CDset list)The Song Remains The SameThe Rain SongKashmirThe Wanton Song(cut)out takes)The Wanton SongThe Wanton SongThe Wanton Song
  12. Looks like they didn't renew their domain. Jason may have owned it and now that he's gone, the administrators may not have access to renew it.
  13. Thanks. Having spent a lot of time with this recording recently, I can definitely see why the band decided not to release this and put out HTWWW instead. However, there are some nice moments in this show. My current favorite part of the performance is The Rain Song. The intimate venue seems to mesh well with the tone of the song.
  14. 5/30/77 is on the list, but that list is getting long so I'm not sure when I'll get to it. And as it turns out, the next show I'm doing is 1/22/73. I didn't think I could add much to it, but being able to split the songs into individual tracks let me raise the level of Robert's voice so his vocals now mix well with the instruments. I was also able to split Jimmy's guitar so it's in both the left and right channels, which really fills out the sound. Here's a sample:
  15. I tried again this morning and did not get the security warnings.
  16. I just got the warning message too. In Chrome, it happened before I got to the home page. In Safari, I was able to get to the home page but when I clicked on a link on it, I got a message similar to the one below that Chrome showed. 17. San Francisco 27/04/69 Vol. 1&2 (Kaleidoscopic) This was the first version of this show I ever heard and it got me hooked on bootlegs. The stellar version of As Long As I Have you is one of my all time favorite live Zep performances. Throw in other unreleased songs alongside killer performances of Zep classics , all in excellent sound quality (at least on the first disc), and I'm still a fan of this 20-something years after I bought it.
  18. And this guitarist goes by KANAMI. The band she's in is called "Band-Maid" (the name and the costumes are sort of a Japanese sub-culture thing.)
  19. The name of the band is Asterism. The guitarist is known as HAL-CA. She was 16 when this was filmed last year. The bass player and drummer are brothers, and were 17 and 18, respectively.
  20. With inflation, $8.75 in 1975 is $41.93 today. Assume $1.25 in taxes and box offices fees and that $10.00 is equal to $47.92 today. So US$50 or so to see a band of Zep's stature doesn't sound bad. However, getting those seats meant sleeping out for a few days and being lucky enough to be at the front of the line. Assuming you couldn't do that but still wanted to see the band, you were probably looking at paying at least double that price from a scalper, so $20, which is almost $100 today. Still a bargain when the Stones and other big bands now charge five times that. The thing is, the reason they can do that is because their main audience today is old people who have the money to pay that much for a seat. Back in Zep's day, the tickets were mostly going to young people, and they typically don't have as much money as older people. So if Zep tried to charge $100 back then (around $500 today), they'd have been playing to mostly empty arenas because their primary audience couldn't afford to see them. 21. I've already got 5/26/73 broken into individual tracks and have done a lot of remastering on it, so it's the leading candidate from '73 because of that. I haven't listened to 5/13/73 recently. I'll see if I can do anything productive with it. I also tried 5/31/73, but wasn't terribly thrilled with the results. My main goal with the Stereo Project is to hit as many of the famous shows as possible before I run out of steam. That's why 4/27/77 is on the list, even though it's not generally highly regarded. I'd also like to change the perception of that particular show, because I'm finding the performance a lot more impressive than I did in the past once I improved the sound a little bit.
