Congrats on finishing your stories. I haven't written anything in ages...I should get back into it. What made me happy was getting free samples of strawberry and red velvet cupcakes, in celebration of the store's second anniversary!

That's on my list of future purchases. I haven't bought this one yet either but soon I'll be buying a replacement copy of Physical Graffiti.

I canceled my landline service so now there's one less bill to worry about!

My parents came down and visited me. We only see each other a few times a year so whenever we do, we make the most of each visit!

Seriously. This needs to stop. Anyway, this technically wasn't today, but last night me and a bunch of girls went to one of the hottest nightspots in town...hung out at the rooftop. We were pretty much the only people up there so we felt like celebrities! I ran up a huge tab but I had a fabulous time.

I brought my change to one of those Coinstar machines and saw that I had like $13 worth. I redeemed it for an iTunes card and downloaded all kinds of great music.

Hitting the road tomorrow morning to spend the 4th of July weekend with family.

I screwed up at work this morning. I won't go into details...even though my boss wasn't angry with me about it, I doubt she'll trust me with the task again.

I was listening to a song played by a local bluegrass band, and the middle of it the singer belted out the words "a whole lotta love and a little less greed."

My A/C decided to act up this morning, on a day when it's supposed to reach nearly 100 degrees. Since someone is coming over to fix it I had to cancel previous plans, and I'll have to dip into my emergency fund to pay for the repairs.

Lucky! It feels fine over here right now (well, because my A/C is running) but tomorrow is supposed to be VERY hot and humid (high of 100 - eep).

I watched my Paris Je T'aime DVD this morning. The next movies I want to see are Up and The Hangover. Especially the latter...I saw the trailer and thought it was so funny!

Dungen - A band from Sweden that would've done well in the Woodstock era. I can't understand a word they're saying, as the songs are not even in English, but the great psychedelic sound makes up for it! Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - Their recordings sound like they were straight from the '60s! For this reason I thought they were some group from that era that just never got noticed. Hard to believe they actually formed in 1996. If you like '60s/'70s soul, give them a listen.

Sounds like a blast! Today is my birthday and I get to spend it with my best friend!
