  1. No probs. I always thought BIA looked good amongst the other album covers, very Americana which is what they were aiming at. Aubrey "Po" Powell, partner in Hipgnosis with Storm Thorgerson..
  2. In 1980 Hipgnosis were nominated for a Grammy for "Best Recording Package" for ITTOD but that award went to Mike Doud and Mick Haggerty for "Breakfast In America".
  3. Get Rory inducted! http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/rorygallagherhalloffame/
  4. How great it is that you got to see Robert Lockwood Jnr.play! I've seen Robert Lockwood Jnr. in one doco on Robert Johnson where he said he was RJ's stepson.Lockwood's mother was involved with Johnson but there's no record of a marriage. Robert Johnson's birth year has been recorded as 1911,and Robert Lockwood Jnr's as 1915.
  5. Let's not get sucked into weaselgarlic's bullshit, people. It posted that YouTube vid of Keith Richard to get a negative response and as an attempt to bring the thread down. It's a better idea not to turn this into a Stones Vs. ______ because of a weasely little bell-end troll.
  6. It appeared on the news here in Oz,I watched it.
  7. Bummer. I would've thought that the ABC may have at least been in co-operation with NZ. Maybe you'll get it on free-to-air sometime in the future.
  8. That's disappointing,I was hoping that I could throw a freebie out there. Well,it's free to Australian residents, and maybe NZ too. Thanks!
  9. I hope this is viewable overseas, maybe someone could let me know? It's The Stones doco "Crossfire Hurricane" on ABC iview, there's 9 days left to watch it. http://www.abc.net.au/iview/#/view/30149
  10. Joe,did you go to see him? It'd be worth it. Rules for Kicking Arse: Rules for the Non-Military Make sure you read #10 Dear Civilians, We know that the current state of affairs in our great country has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military... For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance: 1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem- kick their arse. 2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the Australian Flag in protest - kick their arse. 3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make Australia great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their arse. 4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing dress uniforms or Jungle Fatigues (DPCUs), telling others that you used to be SAS. Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your arse kicked. 5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, 'Do you fly a jet?' Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an arse-kicking (children are exempt). 6. Next time the Australian Flag passes by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. This includes arrogant politicians who think someone may be offended. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe arse-kicking. 7. 'Flyboy' (*Air Force*),'Grunt' (*Army*), 'Squid' (*Navy*), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your arse kicked. 8. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get its arse kicked. 9. It's the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag. WE LIVE IN THE LAND GIRT BY SEA, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE AND HONOURABLE! If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!
  11. There's no reason to post in a band or artist's thread and "bash" them except to cause a shitfight. If you dislike a band then don't post in the thread. And don't try to lead people on with off topic crap either.
  12. From Jason at Facebook: "I really would like to hear from all of you guys as I'm putting the set list together for the up and coming JBLZE shows . What would you like to hear ? Cheers JB" https://www.facebook...nBonhamOfficial
  13. http://youtu.be/7iSsVskUcfo Cindy and Bert. Gusenberger and Berger started singing together in 1965, and were married in 1967. They signed a recording contract in 1969, with singles being regularly issued, notably "Der Hund von Baskerville", an unlikely cover version of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" which has become a collector's curiosity. Their most successful period came between 1972 and 1975 when they placed eight singles on the German chart, including their biggest hit "Immer wieder Sonntags" which reached #3.
  14. ^ I'm sure it was previously advertised that both Mick and Keith would be doing that spot on Letterman, wonder what happened to Keef? Or is that a loaded question?
  15. Last night I watched the last part of the 2 hour doco "Crossfire Hurricane" that's been screening here on free-to-air over the last fortnight. There was voice overs from all members, plenty of old and new footage and was captivating throughout. Get a look at it if you can.
  16. That was the opening for "Celebration Day" in Warsaw,Poland.
