Its a very cool sound, almost sounds like a Cello, an intrument that Blackmore himself played a bit !!

Too right !! Fireball was my fave album for a long time, Things like Fireball, Demons E, Fools and No one Came are really great tracks !! The bowing type sound in the middle of fools was Blackmore using the volume pot on his Strat and not a bow (just for interest )

I remember Gillan saying he use to be mates with Sabbath and was out on the piss with them, by the morning he was in the band !! He also said he could never remember the lyrics and on tour he would have the lyrics written down on the floor next to the monitors, but it was either Reading or some festival that with all the dry ice coming up off the stage he was scrambling on his knees trying to sing paranoid or something, but couldn't see the lyrics due to dry ice and the fans couldn't see Gillan, he said it was nightmare !! Thank god he re joined Purple a few years later and was in a band he was meant to be in !! Long Live the Dio years in Sabbath, they were a good band then !! Soz I just find The ozzy stuff to dense although I did go and see them and enjoyed it, I just prefer Dio !!

I popped this under guilty pleasures too with Buggles, as I love the Drama era of Yes and loved it without the vocals of Anderson, this was almost the start of the 90125 era hits machine !! Tempus Fugit is one of my faves !!, don't get me wrong I love Yes with JOn but just think this era gets forgotten !! Chris plays the bass part to to this song live in concert and its shakes the foundations !! Along with Zep ,Purple Yes are my fave band!!

The Beatles transcend more than just music, they are in the fabric of society, for years i use to wonder what the fuss was about, but gradually as i got older I really digged alot of their stuff, especially the mid later period !! I think Harrison wrote some good tunes and doesn't get the credit, how difficult must of it been for him being with Lennon and McCartney, asking for them to help write some songs with him and getting nothing back !! He had to forge his own way. AS for for them being better than Zeppelin well I don't think really as they had a dodgy beginning with their songs and recording, but Zeppelin from record one just blew us all away, with the Beatles it took alittle while !! Fave songs are Blackbird, one of a handful of acoustic fingerstyle numbers I ever bothered to learn !! Lady Madonna, Something to name 3 at the moment !! Seeing McCartney live in 1990 was a highlight, seeing and hearing beatles and Wings numbers was cool !!!

The Gary Numan classic Cars done by Fear Factory !! Gary Numan loved it so much he wanted to be on it too but its still a cover in my book !!
