  1. That could be interesting just such a shame it JLT doing vocals , dio would of really made it good.Do they have a website ??
  2. Thought it was time to get this thread back on the go, just been listening to la Villa Strangiato, Tom Sawyer and YYZ. One of the top bands I have ever seen, great music, musicians..the musicians musicians for me. Got to be the best three piece ever in my books.
  3. All the three Experience members have gone now, what wonderful and fab music they all have left behind

May get some respect !! They have always had respect, All electric Guitarists should learn a few of Angus's solos, his phrasing of the pentotonic major and minor stuff is really good, comes up with some great solos ...

  10. Congrats Ritchie, There is a short interview with Candice in Classic rock this month, when asked if she is the Yoko Ono and stopping Ritchie playing with Purple/Rainbow again, she replied look Ritchie is Ritchie and he will do what he wants...I tend to agree..sadly missed though in the rock world ..although I think they said he plays alot more electric guitar on the new album and covers a Rainbow tune.
  11. Have to say in the 80's I loathed their music, but in the the 90's with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar and i have to say Ordinary world is a really great song with some tastful guitar..I also liked the Covers album Thank You with the Zep classic with again some tastefull guitar work .
  12. That must of been good, I read that alot of the tour you saw had empty seats, Purple were just very popular then and i guess Ritchies name wasn't a big draw there as it was in UK !!
  13. Don't think its pos in my opinion, I would like to see MK III again. Jon Lord has said that he would like to do one last DP gig were all members play from every lineup..if he could pull that off then I for one would be like last year getting a Zep ticket, i would sell my gran
  14. Well you can go and see him in tights and minstrel hat with Blackmore's Night
  15. How cool on both come back Ritchie for one last gig ...please !!
  16. Yeh its a good one , DIo and Blackmore were made for each other.
  17. It wouldn't of happened, the world wanted the MK II lineup in its entirety !!
  18. Yes very much so, but I do wish Steve would be a little more animated
  19. With respect to the 3/5 of the classic lineup, without Lord/Blackmore it just isn't the same however good The Morse era songs are !! I think he is brill but Blackmore as you know to me is just cool !! I saw MK II four times, MK V once, MK VII once and MK VIII twice. Although V with JLT was a bit well its JLT the gig I saw was cool as they opened with MKIII's Burn (and thats my fave Blackmore riff) so that was good as would have loved to see MKIII line up !! Morse does the Blackmore stuff real justice though, he really is awsome !!
  20. Yes I know what you mean, I still go to Purple gigs but its like watching a really realy good tribute band with one original member in it !!
  21. Steve is one of my all time fave guitar players, wonderful technique, tasteful player, he has it all in my opinion, but he isn't Ritchie who was a showman and has written some trully great rock songs, but Steve is a great player
