  1. Reading this review of Zeppelin's Heartbreaker Riff "04 'Heartbreaker' Led Zeppelin (1969) Picking the best Jimmy Page riff is a lot like picking the best sexual position: You can make a convincing argument for most of them. Some involve more technique and manual dexterity ('Black Dog'), while others involve sheer power ('Kashmir'), but they all leave you tired and happy. We're going with Led Zeppelin's 'Heartbreaker' because, well, we had to pick one, and it kicks copious amounts of ass"
  2. yep and "Its a long way to the top"
  3. fair enough, well thanks for de band
  4. Was that about the mid nineties ??
  5. Agh ok I thought that too, so back to the question are they British or Australian ??. If they are an Australian band then thank you.
  6. What the discussion is just over ? thats it, no more to say other than case closed ? why do you like it ?
  7. Yes I think so, the six we scored in the last over was great and as you say if he we had done it again on the last ball, now the one day matches, I heard Alistar Cook on the radio today as he is back here, he was saying he is gutted not being included in the one day matches as he is plying so well, but thats the difference with us at last, he said "they want to be number one in the world" and I actually believe him. Its the wanting to play every game in each version of the game. I wonder if there is another major world sport that has 3 versions of the game, they are all good for different reasons. Thing is we learnt from you guys about academies and stuff and its showing now.
  8. Love this album, this song to me could sit very nicely on "In through the Outdoor", maybe its the Chink chink of the guitar in the verse that reminds me of said album. Page on form and will say it again, what a shame they never toured past Japan, if they picked small venues , they would have got a crowd in, oh well few years later we were all watching P/P gigging. Here is another from this and I would say is a bit of an underground classic.I do like the compression on the intro acoustic. Lets hope if Jimmy tours this year he will include of few off this album, which I magine he might. " "
  9. "Dazed and Confused" on Talksport" "Hawksby and Jacobs" show this afternoon.
  10. Thanks, I think its good to be back :)

  11. Hi Missy, sorry it seems a bit like a poor attempt at Deep Purple's "Hush" I guess around about the sane time (what year was it ??) although Hush was origanally by Joe South. I liked Yes once Steve Howe Joined.
  12. Yeh I know and I wasn't tring to fuel anything, just debating the merit of it all Hey Dan, I am one of us thanks although have Dutch Great Grand Parents on one side, although I am born here in lovely England, does thats still make me English ? Anyway I said as long as they have reached the criteria as in if the SA guys have say English parents, married and lved here for donkeys yeras etc, then they want to represent us then fine, I did say i still feel uncomfortable with it, but the whole world does it. We are one world...I am a passionate Englishman, how far can we take this, that means your beloved WHU should only have players from your area but they don't so really its the same thing. I haven't time to fully reply at the mo. By the way I think we have this place, better get the hell out of here PS see you in England thread mate for chat to get the count up
  13. Ok anglo Aus group, appologies there I though Bon was one of the Jocks.
  14. Yes but its the chicken and egg thingy, Are AC/DC Australian or British ? having the members been born in Scotland,England and Wales etc ?? its a difficult one. I can see Reggie's point to an extent, we all want our own born poeple I guess, like the cricket, I am ok with having SA born players if they meet the criteria but it does it days at the same time sit un easy with me (oxymoron) , also German football team have Polish born players and The All blacks have Fuji born.
  15. 13th Jan 1980, 'Fool In The Rain' was on the US singles chart. This gave Led Zeppelin their last chart hit, with the single peaking at No.21.
  16. I didn't go to see Jon and Rick I was going to and they were near to me playing. I moved this vid from that thread to its rightful thread here. " "
  17. PMSL yeh someone talking sense, So tell me is Jimmy Chinese then ???
  18. Not all of my post that you are replying too was directed at you, thats all in your head To say you have been slapped in the face for your efforts seems a little feeling sorry for yourself, I quote from my very first post in reply to you finding this thread I was looking for "Excellent well done ! seems I was the last on their anyway 2 years ago, but thanks for your efforts" there seems to be no slapping of your face there, only thanks. You could of said no problem or nothing, instead you write a curt reply in a huffy manor about not posting on the thread you found. I explained To you that I replied to your post on my thread as people had already posted, its polite to, You obviously did have the problem however you want to deny or dress it up. The best thing for you to do is if you do not like how I reply to your posts, is to do not let me have the opportunity to do so, by replying in a curt manner or anyway that will get me or anyone needing to reply as we see fit, otherwise the replies you get might lead to you not liking said replies. Also please spare me the poor old you "I am not a bad person"....That is laughable.
  19. Its just been a golden time for us really in the last 5 years or so, 3 ashes win out of 4, 20/20 world champs and now the record of 8 straight victories in 20/20. Think we willl bask in it while it all lasts. looking forward to the next one, hope it goes to the wire again, edge of the seat time .
  20. For me it has to be "Relayer" as "Tales" is the only one I cannot handle. Relayer for me but kind of think you might like Tales though (just a hunch). As to people getting their post count up...thats a disgrace ,you wouldn't catch me doing such a thing Thing is with this forum is although its a great debating chamber, some like to have hierarchy, whether having the most posts, to giving relevent information on the band the quickest. Some who like to adhere to the rules but then again have profile pics that could be seen to be offensive (think thats one of the rules on here not to be offensive) , People like to complain about this and that, then break the rules themselves. Some like me contradict themselves all the time like me as I couldn't remember what happened an hour ago me. As to the duplicate threadgate saga, well this forum mirrors life and some get a little agitated, i use to stick up for the newbies who did this as hey they don't know, but I should of known, well I did know there was one but have explained. I like the new YES thread and its going to be there to talk about anything YES, so if you said yes to a new job tell us As for people getting all snotty about it, thats cool as its a lot of fun watching this happen. PS I like "Relayer" (on topic)
  21. Woa get ya own thread budster Don't Kill The Whale - by that well known band YES
  22. Dear BIGDAN As a upper class toffee nose git as a fan of YES, I regret to inform you that my post box is full due to me being very popular on here, Yes music is for the cultured, you could say the classical music of rock, not somelow life commonal garden rock or Jazz (devils music).
