  1. Where is m'lady? Is she trapped in a castle?! I shall rescue her!

  2. Al knows everybody! I dig some Skynyrd, and yeah, same as most people. '73-'77 Skynyrd can't be beat. Not much other southern Rock I listen to other than them and The Allman Bros. I have a Molly Hatchet album (their debut) but haven't listened to it yet.
  3. O SHI- It's Mathiu! What's kicking son? Has our idea happened yet!?

  4. I agree with Mandy. I think it looks cute.
  5. Zep's become one of my lesser favorites over the past year, but I still enjoy them. On any given day, The Who win over Zep, for me.
  6. Yeah, The Who needs more love on here. I love them more than Zep.
  7. I just didn't like By Numbers, that's all. I do enjoy A Quick One, and I do agree with you that A Quick One sounds dated. It's over 40 years old, but it sounds older.
  8. Of course, but I'm just pointing it out. Fripp made it clear on the first note on 21st Century Schizoid Man that he was a damned good guitarist.
  9. Exactly. I think it's become one of my favorite albums by them overall. I should listen to Tommy and Quad more. I don't really like By Numbers or A Quick One (y'know, the poor production)
  10. We have that on vinyl as well. I haven't listened to it yet, but it's pretty old. I think Hillman's work with Gram and that of the latter of the 60s Byrds was his best. My dad ordered Wheels of Fire for me about a week and a half ago, so it should be here within the next couple days. And he just ordered Get Closer and Diamond Girl by Seals & Crofts for me and At Fillmore East by The Allman Bros. Band.
  11. The Pictures at an Exhibition is pretty cool (the video) but parts of it shouldn't have been there. I won't spoil it.
  12. I've come to fully appreciate the genius and power of "The Who Sell Out" as one of the greatest rock albums of the mid-late 60s. Everything syncs in so well and it's just amazing.
  13. zosodude, it's good that you're into King Crimson now. One of the true greats of progressive rock. In The Court of The Crimson King is great. Moonchild is such a mellow song. And Red is absolutely amazing. Starless blows me away everytime. I should really listen to Islands and Lizard. It took me a bit to truly enjoy Larks' Tongue in Aspic, but I did it. Robert Fripp is an awesome guitarist and proves to be so with Andy Summers.
  14. ELP is starting to become what Pink Floyd was last year. I'm obsessed with ELP. I've gotten Atomic Rooster's debut so I could hear Carl's drumming on it and I have some of The Nice, but the albums are all a mess, so I'll have to get the actual cds. And I know about Greg's stuff with Crimson. I'm more obsessed with ELP and the live album. I think I should listen to Tarkus and Trilogy more.
  15. Great prog band that gets too much hate for their stuff after Works Vol. 2. I think their debut, Brain Salad Surgery and Welcome Back My Friends are incredible and you have to admit that some songs without guitar are quite cool.
  16. Took this last night while goofing around with the webcam.
  17. I remember something my mom told me that she heard from a DJ here in St. Louis say after a Janis song "You know, she was one of the nastiest, most drugged up women, but goddamn could she sing"
  18. Well, I've only heard a bit of her music. So basically I'm new. I've had many opportunities while cruising blogs to grab the Big Brother and The Holding Co. albums with her, but I wasn't sure if Janis was right for me. But when I sneaked a listen of that song last night, I think I can get into her.
  19. I downloaded Pearl the other day. Hope I can get into it. I saw that it has "Me and Bobby McGee" and I've heard that a lot on the radio, my mom loves that song, and I enjoyed it too.
