    Hot pics of Jimmy

    http://britrockbythebay.blogspot.com/2010/08/led-zeppelin-june-1973.html Great photos.
  2. 7 August 2011. The Big Chill Festival.
  3. Those two concert were definitely not filmed. I've gone through myriads of photos and I can say this thing for sure: there were no cameras or cameramen near the stage.
  4. I've finally concluded that the only proshot '77 dates are Seattle and Pontiac. I've thoroughly examined photos of all of the rumored dates but cameras are nowhere to be seen. No cameras = no proshot footage. Also, I have no idea about the Central Park '69 footage. Has it ever been confirmed? 5. That performance is stellar. All four members on fire?
  6. Some criticism: Editing. Okay, editing isn't egregious but it could've been better. Some shots last less than a second. Super 8mm. Personally, I cannot point out a single moment in the film where the 8mm footage actually improves the viewing experience. VERY superfluous. I don't think Jimmy should've allowed Carruthers to use this bulky footage. Camerawork. Even though there are some out-of-focus moments, the camerawork is solid throughout the entire concert. However, as an earlier reviewer already pointed out, some more cameras should've been added. This was a VERY signficant performance, probably the most signficant concert in the 2000s, and every single moment - including the audience shots - should've been captured. Live sound engineering. Very disappointing. There was a very unpleasant feedback on Robert's microphone in the opening three songs, and Page himself pointed out that the onstage monitors were not working well during the violin bow sequence in D&C. Recording engineer going sloppy? Several completely redundant cuts. Highlights include the beginning of Ramble On and Robert's speech before Kashmir. Celebration Day is a very good overall product but some these points could've been taken into account. Nevetheless, big thanks to Jimmy Page (and Jones and Plant) for releasing this product. I remember times when I thoght we would've never seen this footage. My pick for the best performance of the night: In My Time of Dying (easily). EXACTLY. One of the flagrant examples of flawed editing.
  7. I understand, but size of the area did not change. If 250K people were able to fit in that area, then why were only 120K tickets printed in the follow-up years?
  8. Steve, I recently found out that Queen attracted 120K people at their sold out Knebworth concert. Any thoughts? I mean, how did Zeppelin play to 200K+ people if a sold-out Queen concert accommodated only 120K people?
  9. Yeah, and then they would've set a new record at the JFK stadium in August.
  10. I agree that the production could have been much better. Don't forget, it was 2007 and the band initally was not going to release the film.
  11. It was shot in 1970. Not sure about the exact date, though.
  12. It's a "real" picture, whatever you mean by that. I hope I won't get banned for posting nudity.
  13. Bonham was not a victim. His death was accidental - surroundings had close to zero effect on it. Really? I always thought he spent most of July, August, and Septembner with his family.
  14. Stringfellows nightclub, London, 1980. Steve probably knows the exact date.
  15. They'd try to keep prices down. As LZ77 already said, they could inflate them but they wouldn't. The ticket price of the O2 concert was only 125 pounds.
  16. Hi guys. Do you happen to know how much the 1977 tour grossed? Were all shows sold out?
  17. On the '77 tour. Cole was their manager from 1968 up to and including 1979. The band became the world's #1 music attraction in the 70s, so it's kind of unfair to pan Cole.
