  1. Any member of the board can post what they deem to be newsworthy here. On the other hand, it's brought about a discussion about a very worthy topic, when is it crossing the line in regards to invading someone's privacy? Sounds like you're talking out of both sides of your mouth here. Out of one side you say it's disrespectful but out of the other you totally contradict yourself. I'm not sure who was responsible for having the video removed from YouTube but since neither Page nor Halfin were aware they were being filmed there's no way they could have asked for it to cease. Evidently Halfin was none too happy about it and I don't blame him. Just because a performer is out in public, it doesn't give anyone the right to film them, especially without their permission.
  2. I don't think that would be possible unless someone has figured out how to travel into the future. The concert isn't until July 12th.
  3. I don't understand the question. Are you asking which one we prefer?
  4. No offense but I would imagine that's pretty common knowledge in these parts. http://youtu.be/p8ff13foV5E
  5. "Fascinating" perhaps. "Lovely"? No, at least not to my eyes. It was a very horrific event so it's not something I associate with beauty.
  6. Considering 35 out of the 97 people on board died, I don't see any beauty in that photograph whatsoever.

  8. Chatham County Line's first ever live album (and DVD) is due for release on June 26th. Cool to find out that I was actually in attendance at this particular concert. I can't wait to hear it. Chatham County Line to release live 2xCD/LP + DVD box set, SIGHT & SOUND – Out 6/26 Yep Roc Records is pleased to announce the June 26th, 2012 release of Sight & Sound, a two-CD/LP audio and video collection from North Carolina based Chatham County Line. Sight & Sound includes 20 live tracks drawing from all five albums of the band’s decade-long career. Nine songs appear on both the audio CD/LP and the DVD; four are exclusive to the DVD, while the CD/LP expands the collection with seven more tracks. The idea for Sight & Sound stemmed from the booking of a show shortly after the release of the band’s fifth album, Wildwood, in the summer of 2010. Chatham County Line had arranged an August 10 date at the Raleigh, NC’s Fletcher Opera Theater, “and we realized what a sit-down, comfortable, well-staged place it was to have a performance,” Dave Wilson, the band’s guitarist and primary vocalist, recalled. “We figured no matter what that we’d get some cameras in there to tape it.” From there, Yep Roc took the ball and ran with it, setting the wheels in motion to have the show professionally filmed and recorded. “It was something the fans have always asked for. A lot of people think we sound better live and in-person than we do on record. They’ll say, ‘We wish your records sounded like you do live!’ And there was a thought of this kind of being a loose ‘Greatest Hits,’ if you will, so it has songs from each record gathered all in one place,” says Wilson. They go all the way back to the beginning — “Closing Town,” the leadoff track on the very first Chatham County Line recording in 2003 — as well as revisiting three songs each from 2005′s Route 23 and 2006′s Speed of the Whippoorwill. There’s a bit more focus on the band’s two most recent albums, 2008′s IV and 2010′s Wildwood, perhaps a reflection of how much the band has come into its own in the past few years. 9. Just because Page feels comfortable venturing out into the public it doesn't mean he owes anyone a photograph, an autograph or for someone to film him without his knowledge.
  10. There's still no actual confirmation that ZZ Top are going to be releasing a new album this year but here's a teaser video for a new song called "I've Got To Get Paid". At 1:54 it's definitely not a full length version of the song. According to the post about it on their FB page, it's apparently a single. If so, then I'm not sure what was.
  11. Since Page was unaware he was being filmed, I'd chalk it up to invasion of privacy. Good that's it's been taken down as it should have never been filmed or uploaded in the first place.

  14. Yesterday I attended the Rock Against Amendment One Rally at the Pinhook in Durham, NC which included performances from Amy Ray (of Indigo Girls), Kooley High and Mount Moriah. For those unfamiliar with Amendment One here's some more information on it: If it passes, it will amend Article 14 of the NC Constitution by adding a new section: A friend of mine has posted a few clips from yesterday's rally to YouTube. The first one, from Amy Ray's set, includes a brief segment at the beginning from Melissa York, the drummer from Amy's backing band, the Butchies, in which she speaks out agains the amendment.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, the "chronological live album" Page had been mentioning in interviews for years eventually materialized as the Led Zeppelin DVD.
