  1. It's sort of a sequel to The Official Book of the Deadheads which came out in the early 80s, also a very fun and enlightening read.
  2. More of a coffee table book than anything but still a very fun and fascinating read.
  3. Not a big surprise, especially considering the recent reformation of Crazy Horse but for those that were looking forward to seeing Buffalo Springfield it has to be a huge disappointment. I had hoped to see them but considering what Neil charges for tickets, I probably would passed. The Buffalo Springfield Reunion Appears To Be Over
  4. In regards to the Mott the Hoople photo, perhaps this thread will prove to be helpful.
  5. Considering just how prominent the pedal steel is in most country music, I'd say that covers a whole lot of territory.

Concert Volume One A.R.M.S. Concert Volume Two As for rarites and bootlegs, I really don't have much there. Somewhere I have a copy of one of the BBC shows on cassette that I taped off of the radio back in the 80s. I may also have a Plant concert or two from Westwood One on CD, I'm not really sure. I think the only boot I have is a copy of Zeppelin's show at Dorton Arena in Raleigh from 1970. If I remember correctly, there seemed to be some confusion about this particular boot in regards to it actually being from the Raleigh concert or from Charlotte on the same tour. I also used to have a couple of boots on cassette: Blueberry Hill and Live Over Europe but they've either been lost in the shuffle or got recorded over. I'm not sure how rare it is but I do have a collection called On the Radio: Rarities On Compact Disc Volume #7 that was issued to radio stations around the time of the first boxset. Here's the artwork and tracklisting: 1. The Yardbirds - I'm Confused 2. The Yardbirds - Train Kept A Rollin' 3. Jimmy Page - She Just Satisfies 4. Jimmy Page - Keep Movin' 5. Robert Plant - You Better Run 6. Robert Plant - Everybody's Gonna Say 7. Robert Plant - Our Song 8. Robert Plant - Long Time Coming 9. Robert Plant - I've Got A Secret 10. The Yardbirds - Goodnight Sweet Josephine 11. The Yardbirds - Think About It 12. Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey What Can I Do 13. The Yardbirds - Psychodasies 14. The Yardbirds - Happenings Ten Years Times Ago 15. The Yardbirds - Stroll On 16. Jimmy Page On Guitar - My Baby Left Me 17. Jimmy Page On Guitar - A Certain Girl 18. Jimmy Page On Guitar - Leave My Kitten Alone 19. Jimmy Page On Guitar - Surprise, Surprise 20. Jimmy Page On Guitar - How Do You Feel 21. Led Zeppelin with PJ Proby - Jim's Blues 22. Led Zeppelin - Travelin' Riverside Blues
  7. Though it may be, I really don't see anything about the photo above that would suggest it's a fake. While you, on the other hand, have lied about your age on this forum. You also posted a photo of yourself in the aforementioned thread that obviously wasn't you, especially if you're not actually 16 years old. In other words, it's hard to take anything you say on this forum seriously when you lie through your teeth so often.
  8. Kind of like the photo you posted of your supposedly 16 year old self in the Post A Picture of Yourself thread?
  9. All cuts from Megafaun's most recent, self-titled album. For anyone that's so inclined, there's also a real nice interview with Phil Cook and Joe Westerlund from Megafaun here.
  10. Looking very forward to that. I'm not going this year but they're going to be performing at the Guitartown/Conqueroo party at The Dogwood in Austin for SXSW next month. Chris Stamey will also be taking part in another of the Big Star Third/Sister Lovers concerts. This one will be held at the Paramount Theatre on March 15th which will be preceded by a screening of the new Big Star documentary. More info here.
  11. As far as I know there was no soundtrack released for Death Wish III.
  12. Title track from the Alabama Shakes' debut album as performed in London just a few nights ago.
  13. I wouldn't say I have a vast knowledge of music but I do appreciate the compliment. Can't say I can answer your question either other than to say I have lots of albums I probably haven't spent enough time with, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea just happens to be one of them. There just aren't enough hours in the day to listen to all of the music I would like to listen to.
  14. Magnum just passed through here on tour and most of my friends are still raving about how good it was. I have In the Aeroplane Over the Sea but haven't really listened to it enough to express an opinion or to justify seeing him in concert. His show here sold out in a matter of minutes.
