  1. Yeah, I gained a new appreciation for the 14th this year -- only the second time I've listened to it all the way through, I think...nice, relaxed vibe. LOL, I've noticed that about the loafers as well!
  2. Orlando '71 is my favourite Thank You, but Montreux is a great version too and an overall phenomenal show! Can't wait to listen on the 50th anniversary in a few weeks!
  3. I always enjoy the live versions of Sick Again, even if it's an off night for Jimmy simply because Bonham is usually tearing it up...
  4. ^Agreed. Dazed And Confused in addition to ones already mentioned for me, which is to take nothing away from the awesome studio version.
  5. I always understood that the improvement was due to the taper changing locations partway through, rather than a source change, but I certainly could be misinformed.
  6. February 13, 1975 - Uniondale -- Great show, probably the best of the New York '75 shows. - First of the three 40-minute "Dazed And Confused"'s (3/21/75 Seattle & 3/27/75 L.A.) -- this one edges out Seattle by about 40 seconds for second place. - One of the better versions of "Moby Dick" in this drummer's humble opinion 😛 - A "Trampled Under Foot" that really packs a punch for only being 7:26 long!! (despite the slight miscue heading into the midsection) - Ronnie Wood guests on "Communication Breakdown" to close it out, just a few months before he became a Stone!
  7. Fair enough. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but that little riff that Jimmy plays before "For What It's Worth" seems to be unique to the four Pacific Northwest '75 shows -- he fiddles with different variations of it at the first Seattle show and the two Vancouver shows and then seems to have it fully developed at the second Seattle show (and Bonham and Jones join in)...another reason I love the 3/21 version!
  8. I'm not sure. I think as far as its inclusion in the 3/21/75 Dazed goes, it's probably due to him dedicating the song to "the difference and the balances between law and order" after the Seattle Police informed Jimmy right before the song that a guitar given to him by a fan earlier in the day was in fact stolen. Also explains the "I Shot The Sheriff" tease...at least that's always been my take 🤷‍♂️
  9. Wow, that must have been a ton of work! Mostly agree with your choices, too. Curious what your rationale was for taking 3/20 over 3/21 for the '75 Dazed...I agree that 3/20 is an excellent version too, but for me 3/21 has always taken the cake, especially because of the "Woodstock" section being transformed into "For What It's Worth" and "I Shot The Sheriff".
  10. I agree! March 31 is my birthday, so I'd love to have that one especially, and I'm an Eagles fan so I like Philly!
  11. February 8, 1975 - Philadelphia -- 45 years ago today. Amazing that this is one of only FOUR shows they ever played in Philly, given that it is the eighth-largest census metropolitan area in the States! - July 12, 1969 - March 31, 1970 - June 13, 1972 - February 8, 1975 Those are it, and all were at The Spectrum. Obviously, they were supposed to close the '77 tour with a massive show at JFK Stadium, but I wonder why it got skipped in '71 & '73 and covered so lightly the other years compared to other cities of similar (or smaller) size. Misfortune of being right between New York and Washington? Anyone older and wiser than me have any insight? Hopefully a soundboard of this will surface one day, as it's one of Page's best post-'73 shows. The audience tape isn't bad though once it clears up part-way through "In My Time Of Dying"...maybe even good enough for a matrix?
  12. I tend to agree with the sentiments above -- it's not so much that the ceiling lowered after '73, but rather the floor did. Whereas the range in quality night-to-night on the Summer 1970 tour was great to all-time great, the range on the 1977 tour was horrendous to all-time great.
  13. I'll nominate two dark horses that I've never seen mentioned here, but they're on the official timeline: March 31, 1969 at Cooks Ferry Inn in London, and; March 31, 1970 at The Spectrum in Philadelphia. March 31 is my birthday, so it would be cool to have those. Both are part of strings of shows seven days in a row (London is the fifth of seven and Philly is the seventh of seven)! Just crazy scheduling, especially the 1970 run since it was in the States, with much longer distances between shows: Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Pittsburgh & Philadelphia all in one week! Not to mention, they didn't have their own jet at that point, right?
  14. I would love for this one to come out as well! Read the accounts and reports on the official timeline, and it sounds like it was a killer show! Plus, I've been there for a Tide football game, so it's special because of that--same reason I want Baton Rouge '77 especially (been to an LSU game).
  15. Speaking of first shows of a tour, I'll throw out one most won't...Minneapolis '75. Didn't Plant get the flu after that show? Would be cool to hear "When The Levee Breaks" & "The Wanton Song" with him in good voice... Atlanta '73 is missing too...there really is something about first shows lol
  16. Oh ok, thanks! Only three of the songs from the 1st gen are available on BB 😕
  17. Anyone know the best title for 9/6/70 Honolulu? Wanted to download it from Black Beauty to listen today for the anniversary. I see that Beelzebub's Screaming To The Ocean (Part 2) has the complete show available on there--is that one good? Seems to be the most recent...
  18. Never listened to that one! Looking forward to checking it out!
