Hawaii has a very low population.... very low. It is much easier to manage a problem where there are low numbers. In Califorinia there are more homeless people just in Los Angeles county living along the freeways, than probably the population of Hawaii. This isn't about treating people like humans, so they will act like humans. Drug addicts do not act like humans, not when their entire life is about getting their next fix. You can't be "nice" to them and cure them, it doesn't work that way with addicts of that level.

Your point being what? That other than Alaska, it appears that violent criminal homicides appear to be centered around the African-American demographic. I get the deal with Louisiana and Alabama. But look an Maryland, that higher rate is all about Baltimore. Interestingly, Illinois and California you would think higher, but owing to massively large state populations, the higher localized crime stats (Compton, Oakland, South Chicago) are mitigated by a larger mostly non violent population across the rest of those two states. I get why Idaho and Maine are so low. Lower population, and specifically a certain majority demographic they both share, even as both are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. I will need to take a look at New Mexico, and see what in underlying there, and why their violent crime is above the national average. There is a lot drug offenders in ABQ, some really, really low rent areas. So, those must be inflating the averages for the whole state. A state of only 2 million people.

Stider, thanks for posting this, this was GREAT. The scene is so bad, that it is actually good. I have to believe Quentin would approve. In fact, it almost makes me wonder if this didn't inspire Tarantino to some extent with Kill Bill??? I loved this! And the camera blocking, the zooms, the slo-mo, was not all that bad really. I would love to capture this video and then layback a different audio bed under it with some great music. And then it really would feel like part of Quentin's crime drama sub genre.

Update for all fans of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul Late last evening there was news of Bob Odenkirk (who plays Saul Goodman in the Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul ) having suffered some medical event during filming of the final season of Better Call Saul, and was rushed to a hospital in New Mexico. TMZ first reported the news, and for over 24 hours no updates available, which concerned many fans of this beloved TV franchise. A few hours ago it was reported that the incident was heart related, and Odenkirk is now in stable condition, being attended by his doctors. Tarrantino's new book "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" is now out. It is a novelization of the film, with much more stuff in it than the film. Available in paperback I found it interesting that he insisted on paper back, dubbing it for "mass market" and priced at under $10. Very smart marketing really, I'm sure he will make more selling in quantity, than if he was selling $25 hardbook versions. Rogan did a great interview, and Tarrantino was very happy to answer all questions and then beyond add more info. His comments about actor Bruce Lee were great. Yes he has. Alex Villeneuava is his name. Ironically, he is from the same political party as most all of the Los Angeles city council, as well as the county board of supervisors. Which party I think you can guess. Los Angles city were Venice beach is, is patrolled by Los Angles city police (LAPD). For the county sheriff to intervene in a city is rare, and usually only in an emergency, and only when asked to help. But the homeless situation is now out of control, and Los Angles (City) is politically avoiding any action, they are basically run by a bunch of social justice types. In the city of Los Angeles, a person could erect a tent on the sidewalk in front of your home, live their, cook, and defecate in the street, and the LAPD will do nothing for you, the taxpayer.

I found that video on youtube after searching for a story on fast foods places, and then after that it linked to literally hundreds of videos with fights at McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Denny's and all kind of places. But the overall them if you will, did not suggest "methville USA" and what you say. It was more like urban inner city places. What the sheriff said was that he would not expend any manpower to enforce this new county mask edict, as in his opinion it was not backed by science, and was in total contrast to the current Federal CDC guidelines. Then Sheriff Alex Villenueva went onto say that due defunding of law enforcement (defund police movement) that had to play into his decision. So, basically the Sherrif (an elected official) was just using this as an opportunity to score a political point. All of them are basically politicizing this pandemic all the time. My truck is now 23 years old, has only 75,000 miles, and I only made one car payment, because I always pay cash for my cars, and always buy brand new cars.... never used. I do the clay bar thing every year after a good wash, then do hand carnauba wax. All of vehicles are always parked in the garage too. But I agree, a car's best value to you is reliable transportation. It is a myth that a new car only depreciates. Take care of it and it will MAKE you money after taxes, fees, and insurance keeps going down and down. And then eventually it will begin to go up in value the longer you keep it. More Americans are in hopeless debt due to car loans and leases. I wouldn't own a new vehicle. Don't need bluetooth, navigation, back up or side cameras, and all of that crap. And that infernal push button no key start is annoying as hell. What if you want to lean in and crank the motor while the vehicle is parked because when you have the hood up and are working on it? Really?? Now you have to get inside, apply the brake, and the seat needs to "sense" your presence, or you can't just crank the engine? How is this progress?

I never judge a woman just on her looks. First I like to soap her up and rinse her down in the shower, and then after about 30 hours of tests and other explorations, I will sit down and contemplate all of the pros and cons, and then hopefully come to a sound conclusion. But if she says anything during the process, that just always ruins everything, and I either have to throw her back, or start over. Finding the perfect woman is always very difficult to do. The last near perfect woman I ever encountered was back in 1991 at bar just outside of Mouse Jaw Saskatchewan. She was a tall redheaded woman with hands as large as an NBA player, and thighs that could crack bowling balls. We met in the bar, and neither of us ever spoke a word. We made love on the hood of 1947 GMC pick up truck while twenty or so local villagers watched and cheered us on. When we finished we shook hands and went our separate ways without ever saying a word. This is how romance should always be. Like the random violence of nature; lighting splitting a tree wide open in a hail of sparks and fire, or a grizzly bear eating the entrails from a live screaming deer.
