  1. Five people have been killed at the Pukkelpop music festival in Belgium after a sudden storm caused two stages to collapse, reports say. Television pictures from the scene, about 65km (40 miles) east of Brussels, showed fallen stage rigging and people scrambling for cover. Initial reports in the Belgian media said four people had been killed. About 60,000 people were believed to be at the event, one of Europe's largest outdoor festivals. The mayor of the town of Hasselt, where Pukkelpop is held, said 40 people were injured, AP news agency reported. The TV images showed rain-soaked festival-goers bracing against strong winds. Fallen gantries and rigging could be seen on the ground. Belgian media reported that trees were uprooted by the violent storm and smashed into the stage, bringing it down. Some festival-goers said on the Twitter website that a tornado had struck. The BBC's Matthew Cole, in Brussels, said the storms swept across Belgium in the early evening, turning the sky dark. Here is some footage of Skunk Anansie at the moment when all hell breaks loose. The female lead singer of the ban, Skin, stated later that evening on her website that this event was the most horrible experience she ever had during her entire career. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmdikN5e7Tk My deepest condoleances to all who loved their loved ones there. (Just due to karma I wasn't able to go to Pukkelpop this year, the festival is one of the most relaxed and unexpensive ones around)
  2. From down by the seaside, to Kashmir Robert Anthony's birthday is here. Spread the news across the land, cause he moves like a lion and sings like a Plant. A long life and good health to you, have a nice day, no matter what you do! (Shoobidoo)
  3. Very enchanting music, Strider. Would combine good with a romantic candlelight evening and a bottle of red wine to vibe up the mood. Thanks for posting this, even though it is sad to hear that this beautiful woman is no longer with us .
  4. "Commie Breakdown'' A song about a communist who became dazed and confused....lol. Good idea Betteremily, the same thing came to my mind years ago to start a thread like this, but it never materialized somehow.
  5. Wow, this was REALLY VERY WELL DONE. The balance of light-heavy which you put into this one was amazing, and kudos to the guitarist who played the solo. I am very sparse with compliments normally (a lot of people upload really shitty covers here) but you really deserve a big thumbs up, this is how music is supposed to sound.
  6. Of course there will always be barbeerians from the barbaric beer bar who become badly bedazzled by bad brews. So beer it. Barf.
  7. Lol, thanks for the beer comment....

  8. Sorry for: disappointing you, there are better tastier beers , and btw, the company isn't American anymore, it got bought by guys from Belgium some years ago. Budweiser is in my opinion the MacDonalds of lager beers, fluid junkfood. @Zeppelin Led: Smurf the fuck off???? Go Smurf yourself!
  9. Budweiser is possibly the most tasteless brew ever made by a German immigrant. Sorry.
  10. The movie will be called: "The Smurf remains the lame" and we can discuss similarities on this site in another lame tread that is very similar to this one. Wow, it is good to have amazing hobbies!!!!!!!!!
  11. When you speed that song up it sounds like Smurf music.
  12. Allright.....uhhhmmm, bon appetite, lol.
  13. A very unique band with a great singer. I still have a bootleg called "Hello Hometown, live in Seattle 3-1-90", that illustrates in great sound quality how cool they sounded live. Good to hear about the documentary, I am certainly gonna watch that one, thanks for the info.
  14. I think you should go to a record company and go platinum. Possibly the best cover song ever made, even better than David Coverversion and the Chickendales.. The only thing that I really miss here is a good video with guys that look really mean, standing in a tunnel full of semi-nude models. Rock on!
  15. Since we are supposed to find our own answers here is the proof, as given by a scientific diagram: Pheew, it's good to be deep and meaningless.........
  16. I am not Jesus Christ, even if there might be some similarity between his and my looks. Seems that you like to see similarities in a lot of things. As far as your wondering goes....it looks similar to a line of Robert's lyrics in Stairway to heaven. Is this on purpose or did this just happen by instant karma? Regarding all the answers that got posted on your question, it seems that most people do not hear any similarities between those two songs, and neither do I. If you could at least proof that the song do have the same chord changes, or identical drum patterns you would make more sense, intead of letting others post the answers for you. Ciao.
  17. Logical answer by somebody who can't prove a thing. Fail is obvious. (This entire thread is nonsensical)
  18. The one on the picture is not the rubber dubber version, the sleeve and the setlist of the rubber dubber are different.
  19. Some more similarities: Both songs are to be found on round records with a hole in the middle, packaged in a sleeve. Both songs are from a rock group with a singer with blonde curls, and a very crazy drummer. Both songs feature electric guitars. This amazing discovery should be made into a book for tin foil hatters.
  20. Well, here are some thousands of plantations to be found on this site, have fun with 'em http://www.rambleonzep.com/ Salami I Like 'um
  21. (lol, we had that one already, post 14747) Two tribes- Frankie goes to Hollywood.
  22. Happy birthday, Inga May. Hope you are doing well since we haven't heard in ages from you.
