I was just thinking that this weekend. . Fuk when you get old time is full speed ahead. . When your young you can't grow up fast enough. . This is #5 for me after seeing Percy for 30 (1988) years this one is special. . Who knows how long he will go. . I'm excited my best friend is going. . He's seen RP 2 times already when we were kids:) It's going to be a great night:):)
  3. until

You bet we will meet up! Gonna be a great time Luv:):)
  4. SMS D06 T13 Bron-y-Aur 1970. . JP and Percy working out songs on a clip 46 min long. . Amazing:):)
  5. THX Panther HNY to you too brother!!!:) Its funny that you asked . . If you look close enough you can see my first tattoo covered by the waves just above the fish head. . Bonzo's symbol. . 17 and still in HS some dope said he would do it for 45$. . It looked like shit so that prompted me to go back to the guy to get the swan song on my right forearm 3 days later . . I got home and was like what the fuck did I do!!!! It ended up alright as I got the Zep symbols across my back 20 years ago and my right arm was saved with some tattoo trickery. .I got lucky because it could have been much worse:):)
  6. 3/21/1975 SBD. . I never have links it's all on my desktop. .
  7. LOL what led Atlantic to believe that?? Do you have more detail on that Willie??
  8. I couldn't have said either of these things any better. It's always great to me when someone digs up a topic from the past (thread is 8 years old). I don't mind the edits to the music. Most bands did it back in the day. The fact is they weren't playing 3 minute Stones songs because there was improv going on every night. It's the video that kills me. I don't mind the fantasies. . it's the sequencing that is all over the place. These are my musical heroes so a little insight on what the UK means to the guys and their music is pretty cool to me (I'm from PHX. . its a desert if you get my meaning). I'm glad that G decided to do the gangster scenes instead of showing off his cars like he intended. It's sucks that the visual representation of the band live wasn't properly documented. While hastily put together it doesn't seem that from a directors perspective it was taken seriously. I mean how many cameras were filming? There are not a lot of long shots to be seen of the whole band in action and lucky for us they went to Shepperton otherwise I think it would be 2 hours of Percy's crotch. However what we do have when it's synced is pure magic and we are lucky to have it. Remember this was a band that gave us albums and live performances and that was about it. If you read his autobiography he stated hiring John Bindon was the biggest mistake in his career. Although the movie was a bitch for them it was still very profitable. Easier said than done. Certainly when Percy got sick in the first weeks of the 75 tour shuffling around a date or two is one thing but to take a LONG break as you stated in the middle of the 1975 tour of the United States would never happen. HAPPY HOLIDAYS ZEP HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. BORNS. . . if you havent heard give it a listen. .
  10. I have to say this is a great thread. .
  11. Had me worried . . I was like huh?? I trusted my source copy. . THX for clearing this up:):)
  12. This is graet. . are there two versions? my first night in Cleveland doesnt have the crowd clapping. .
  13. As with most of you I think we are all partial to TSRTS version in one form another because for most it was the only version you had growing up . It's middle section is for the ages. . It is the light and shade the band prided themselves on. . The visuals JPJ provided for us to be along on the journey. .I believe the 28th with a few alterations is in its entirety and keep in mind this song was still in its infancy with room to grow and expand. . to 40 min. . that to me is a little much (even at 25min in 1975). . but in 1973 it is streamlined at a pace close to 13 min which in my mind always seems like 5 or 6 min. .To my ear they are two and one in the same so 7-28-1973/TSRTS is my favorite
  14. I looked up the book on ebay and the black book looks like a 2 cd package goin for the same price (kinda). . Dont know if that was what you were looking for. . Its hard to believe Zia would have anything. . when I go I always go to LZ to see if maybe they have something. . NO NEVER worst excuse for a record/book/game shop. . worked there in the 90's and wanted to kill my boss for playing the reality bites ST all day . . . every day. .
  15. +1 . . I listened to HTWWW once and like it was said "canned". . It reminds me of a KISS ALIVE album. . missed opportunity?? You betcha!!!
  16. Hi Badgeholder:) Did you happen to get to Disc 12 song 1? 42 min. of JP . . BUT a piano take within the song (cue @ 8 min) . . 3 min of beauty. . My question if you have heard this .Is this John Paul Jones? The info SAJ sent said they arent sure in their blog who it is and figure it cant be Jimmy. . just wondering (kind of a mystery?!?:):) THX
  17. THX SAJ listening now to TYG on SMS to confirm . . mine doesnt do that (my friend passed it on to me). . still some incredible JP stuff within the 20 hrs. I have. . PS I do have it. . "like dropping a needle"
  18. Thanks Mr. Jones:) Its a fascinating thread that you started and the reading can go on for hours (as it did last night). . People really do dig out off the wall questions for you and I think "he wont know" but you do!:):) Thanks again for answering my off the wall questions:):) PS One more question if I may The "Studio Magik Sessions" I have has 20 hours of outtakes (Im sure you have it as well). .Was this part of the fleecing of JP's house in the 80's? I searched for it and couldnt find any info. .Plus were the SBDs of 1977 taken from this as well? THX again:):)
  19. Hi SAJ:) As Im browsing through this topic and seeing that its almost 10 years to the day since you started it, my question is since started, what "mysteries" are the ones that you remember most? THX PS I saw something about a book RP was reading that influenced writing STH. . Any titles that he read that you could possibly recommend?? THX 2.0:))
