  1. Seriously??? He was on the Cardinals team that went to the Super Bowl and almost beat Pittsburgh!
  2. When has Leinart ever shown any promise?
  3. Yeah, I guess what seems to be happening can actually detract from what is really happening. Thanks for the info about "Fame" - always loved that song!
  4. Yeah, Jimmy = brains, Bonzo = heart, Jones = soul, Plant = groin!
  5. To what level did John contribute to the Bowie song "Fame", anybody know? Personally, I love Lennon's work - his songs from Double Fantasy still are some of my favorite works. So personal and real, which makes his passing even more sad - he seemed to be coming out of his self-induced fog of drugs and selfishness. Who knows what he would have done in the 80's, but he seemed to be heading in a good and healthy direction.
  6. Apparently her next disc (possibly a double-disc) will not be released until at least September, according to a Billboard Magazine report I just read. This is a recently tweeted photo of her in the studio. The report also said that she is doing a sequal to "Telephone" with Beyonce, but that is not confirmed.
  7. His flub during "Good Times Bad Times" at the rehearsal on December 6th 2007, was strange. This thread is funny, because his "sloppy" play was rarely noticed and/or identified, even though he pushed the limits as much as the others. Jonesy Rules!
  8. I thought you were saying Buffalo was going to Denver....of course they (Baltimore) are going to play all of the first place teams in the AFC, plus one other division in the AFC, plus an NFC division (this past year it was the NFC East) on top of their AFC North rivals..... Who are the AFC East playing from the NFC this year? NFC South? What place did Buffalo finish, 3rd or 4th, in the East?
  9. I thought Denver was going down next year?
  10. Leicester....I seem to remember a former (maybe current) member from there. No coincidence, I'm sure! It'll be interesting to see how this "proper" burial takes place. Sounds like he wasn't treated well at all during his demise.
  11. I agree! I thought it was a very well played game, on both sides. The fights were BS and should've been controlled better by the refs. Thought Aikers would've been a problem too - he kinda was but they covered for him. Randy Moss is the POS we all thought he was, GOAT nothing! Not even top 10 in this era! Flacco was as underrated as I've always said - who beats P. Manning, Brady and then the vaunted 49 defense in succession? Flacco, that's who! I LOVE Bolden, always have since FSU and his time in Arizona. Pitta is coming along nicely, Dallas Clark-type. Smith is just a BEAST at the other wide-out. Anyway, sorry to say "good-bye" to the season, but it never really ends. Free agency soon, then the draft in April. Camps officially open in July, only 5 months away! When do we start the NFL '13 thread? Last year it was in March....great time discussion the sport, opinions and picks all season long with everyone!
  12. IF you had picked the 49'ers, I'd have heard you screaming down here about the refs not calling Reed being offsides and holding on the last throw - just like Coach Jim was! Needless to say, I am VERY glad the Ravens beat the 49'ers....Cowboys still tied for the most SB wins by an NFC team (5) and only 1 behind Shittsburgh overall. Now, just get rid of Jerry and get a new coach and maybe big D will win another in the next 2 decades!
  13. Congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens! Great game and effort, boys!!!
  14. Great hear about that Virginia! This morning I popped my racing cherry and drove a NASCAR race car at a local half-mile track! It was unbelievable! Didn't wreck anyone or anything, so that was good! I have a whole new appreciation for the sport....even though I have been a fan for over 30 years now.
  15. What happened to all the happiness? Wife's out of town.....so my son and I played video games together all night last night and just had a very nice lunch together. Now if Syracuse would just play better in this game v. Pittsburgh!

    Zeppelin Sell Out

I'm inclined to agree with this statement. Back in the 70's, there was so much promotion of records and music in general. Now, older music doesn't really have that avenue - so the songs end up in commercials and on tv shows. Sign of the times in order to be heard by new ears, IMO.
