Better, how? Van Halen - DLR version - went multi-platinum with every release from 1978-1984, 6 discs. EddieVan Halen one of the top-5 or so most influential guitarists ever. Then they changed singers and sold more, stayed relevant. Whether it sold or not, their recent release is an amazing disc, best 'comeback' disc heard in years - IMO. Which leads me to my last statement. If you don't have a favorite member (or at least a time period of the group) and you don't have a favorite song - why the hell would you write an opinion of the group? Soundgarden, RHCP, Pearl Jam, c'mon man!

I've had this show for years, on a cassette tape bought back in the 80's. Cuts off during MD and has A LOT of bass! Still always enjoyed the show and haven't listened to it in a while - probably because it's on tape! Love the plantations as well, evident by my sig.

I agree with a lot that's being said. Dave Grohl is a great drummer, within his bands. When he played with Page and Jones at Wembley, his drumming just didn't sound right for the Zeppelin sound. Like was said earlier, he seems to play faster live. He is a great drummer though and was really hooked up with JPJ by the end of the TCV tour. Jason was always too robotic, in the past, when playing with Zep. Always pounding without having the proper touch, until the 02 rehearsals/gig. Now I think he has a good balance of both - and would be my choice. Lee was good with P/P, did a great job with songs like 'Four Sticks' and the lighter Zep stuff, but never showed the power needed. RIP, Michael. That's my .02 worth....

He absolutely used the laser pyramid in '88. I remember it well, sitting in the 4th row @ the Tampa show. Everytime he struck the guitar with the bow, the laser pyramid would turn and I believe add more sides to it. It was the first time I had ever seen it and was completely blown away! By the end of the bow segment, the pyramid was just spinning around him as continued to just smack away at the Les Paul. That show was so mesmerizing, watching him use the slide during IMTOD was another personal highlight - he really had that old majick flowing that night!

I noticed a flurry of bootlegs out there of studio outtakes recently, usually a sign of wanting to beat something official coming out.... Does everyone think the discs will be re-released one at a time, in order, or as a HUGE boxset collection? Personally, I can't wait for these to be released!
