  1. On this we agree! Sorry to see your boy Kahne get wrecked early, partially because he took the 29 out with him! So add the 500 to the party list, oh and every 4 years me and mrs. Walter get to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
  2. Thanks LZF, you always do justice to what you work on! Great job as always!
  3. It appears that fans have been seriously injured at the Nationwide Series race today at Daytona. Thoughts and prayers go out to them and their families.
  4. Finest singular moment was when he put himself in the same room as Plant, Jones and Bonham for their first jam session back in 1968. IMO.
  5. Do you know if that picture was taken at Fenway Park? Those teams and uniforms, etc. are very interesting! Thanks for researching them!
  6. I never really liked TUF until getting live shows - that's where it all comes to life - now I like the studio version as well! Favorite version has always been 5/24/75. But now I'm with some here who say the 1980 versions are their favorites. Always enjoyed Zurich '80. '77 is a bit too slow for my taste - but it worked well to break up the solo sections of the show and better than when used as an encore, IMO. Loved the 02 rehearsal version too! Overall, 5/24/75 still gets my vote! I can't stop talkin' 'bout......Trampled Under Foot!!!

  8. Hi Knebby! Just another in the line of "my opinion is law"....
  9. Nice Sue! ANY Zeppelin is better than NO Zeppelin! I haven't bought any lately, but I will if I want it bad enough. I don't download either. I listen to what is posted here and what I have collected over the years. Oh yeah and MANY thanks to a certain member who has PM'ed me a few shows - you know who you are and you are AWESOME!!! I agree with Sue about upcoming releases being close proximity to the recent '75 and '77 releases. Bring 'em on!
  10. Harvick wins the Bud Duel race #1 today @ Daytona! Now 2 for 2 in races during Speedweeks. Just hope he goes 3 for 3 this weekend in the Daytona 500!!! Go 29!
  11. I caught the SNL performance as well. Really it was the reason I taped it in the first place - they were amazing!
  12. I agree Steve. It seems that is what keeps Eddie touring with the band at this point. Btw, Eddie's playing was fantastic when I saw them last year. His best solo I have witnessed in the 4 times I saw him perform. Thanks for your input SAJ.
  13. I was at the Tampa show and actually taped both sets. I have seen Cheap Trick many times, but that performance was by far the best I ever saw them give. 50/50, not by a long shot! The crowd was very much into CT, as 'The Flame' had just hit #1 on the charts and they played all of their hits - which makes for a great 45 min. set. But Robert blew the roof off the old Tampa Fairgrounds auditorium. Plus Phil Johnstone came up to the front of the stage to play 'Black Country Woman' on acoustic guitar with Robert and looked a bit like Jimmy, so the crowd really went wild when they mistakenly thought it was Pagey. I saw RP/CT a couple of weeks later at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in NY and it was a good show too, but nowhere near the energy of the Tampa show. Great tour!
  14. Neither have a lot of teams, just the Yankees end up being the lightening rod.
  15. Yes, it is interesting to hear them speak about Weiland now as opposed to a few years ago when things went sour. I would love for Scott to sing with VR, as long as he has his head on straight and not be the priMa donna that he tends to become when using again.
  16. You took the words, right out of my mouth. They haven't been on a spending spree during free agency since "The Boss" passed away, like other teams have. I still don't see anybody calling out those other teams for attempting to "buy" championships the way they used to crucify NY for doing. Money doesn't buy championships, just makes you look better on paper....
  17. Agree with everything you said there, dalsh327. I didn't know about the Atomic Punk trying to record those songs though. Dave is the only one giving insight into the band at this point. I know it's a pipe dream to get back with the original 4, but glad to hear Dave is publicly pushing for it - however that might be a reason to push him back out again. What a saga they are.....
  18. Time for the Yankees minor league system to step up, since they didn't make any additions to their old and getting older pitching staff, worth note. The only good thing is that a-roid won't be around to choke the chicken during clutch-time. Its the Angels championship to lose.....now let's see if they can handle the pressure and expectations. Detroit came into last season with the sane hype and didn't get the job done. It's a loooong season.....
  19. I agree with you, 1984 was their worst disc with Roth - so you are certainly not alone there. Never was a fan of Sammy in VH, but their sound did expand - for better or worse. Did you listen to last year's release? Old ideas brought to new light - I really enjoyed that and still do on occasion. To each his own, but I still believe they trump the 3 earlier mentioned bands, for a number of reasons...
  20. I wish! I would take a reunion over TCV.....but I'll believe that when I see something 'more official'. Who knows, really?
