  1. Surprise, surprise, surprise.....NOT! I thought he would've at least waited until training camp! Why even say your gonna retire and then not - isn't this the 2nd year in a row where he has said this? Makes a big deal about retiring, then comes back less than 2 months later.
  2. +1! I haven't heard the 6/22/77 version, but I do LOVE the 25th version!
  3. To me it sounds like the harmonica solo during NFBM from the rehearsal night was patched in for the movie, more lively than the boot I have of the 02 show version. Also, the guitar was turned down in the beginning of IMTOD (after the slide intro) and has been turned up for Celebration Day.
  4. I believe the only show I've heard from this tour is the Raleigh show I picked up back in the 80's. Haven't listened to it in a while, so now I need to check it out again. I'll have to look around for the others you mentioned. How are the sound qualities of those shows?
  5. You mean Hartline is not a #1 receiver?!? They do have a lot of $ to spend, hope they spend wisely! Who'd you rather have: Jennings or Wallace?
  6. So when are your Dolphins gonna sign Jennings, Paul? I see the Bears are trying to sign Jake Long.
  7. We had a GREAT time in Tampa, Saturday, watching the Yanks/Braves play. Weather was perfect, Dan Marino threw out the first pitch to Goose Gossage AND we were fortunate enough to see Jeter get his first at bat, single on the first pitch thrown to him PLUS were able to see Mariano pitch his first inning back from the DL - two strike outs with three batters thrown to!!! Great day!
  8. That's precisely why I don't watch much baseball anymore.....too long!
  9. Anquan Boldin to the 49'ers for a sixth round pick??? WOW!
  10. Happy Birthday ally.....hope it's a good for ya!
  11. Interesting numbers, Virgil. Proves my earlier point that VH is probably the biggest hard rock band since Zeppelin and to not give them their due, based purely on opinion, is idiotic.
  12. Animals and Meddle are two of my favorites for sure! Animals is the BEST driving album, just get lost in those long songs! After not listening to DSOTM for many years, because it was played to death, I'm getting back into it as well! Love some of the more obscure songs like "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast", "The Narrow Way", "Jugband Blues", "Summer of '68", "See Emily Play", "Green Is The Colour" and "Not Now John", etc.
  13. The Song Remains The Same/The Rover (intro)/Sick Again - Cleveland - 4/27/77
  14. Nice story MOMB! Plus welcome to the forum, my fellow Central Floridian!
  15. Ambidextrous also, primarily right-handed for sports, but write left-handed.
  16. Sometimes I listen to the whole thing, sometimes I don't. The 30 min. solos I can't bring myself to listen to the whole thing... I do always listen to Robert's intro and the first musical part. If I'm in the mood for it I will let it continue. Otherwise I just go to the end for the 2nd band musical part and the Plantations that follow.
  17. My point exactly BUK! The guy they chose for AoA tries his best to sound like Scott and even stands a little like him around the monitors, but they are boring without Scott, from an entertainment point of view. If they prostitute the STP name with a singer like that, they will be in bars - like they were as AoA - in no time. The band is a good band and Scott with them makes STP rock. They are just trying to rip off their fans by continuing with the same name when they already have another band title they work under.
  18. True, very true! It will be interesting to see what comes of him at this point. Relying on drug addicts to come through for you is a no-win situation.
  19. His "solo band" does sound like shit and very weak. Plus Scott wasn't into that performance of 'Wicked Garden' at all. Not sure what your point is though. Scott has done much more without STP than they've done without him. Bottom line is he's a junkie and I'm surprised he is still alive. I've thought that after every STP and VR show that I have attended. But the fact remains he is the face and voice of STP.
  20. We have a granite countertop classified as "peacock green", which is similar in pattern to what you posted, just more black, with dark green some aqua blue, tanish textures and flecks of silver. Very pretty and diverse. Hope it all works out for you!
