  1. You were 11 when you saw Zep at Knebworth?
  2. Syracuse HAS to be more aggressive on defense, that's all there is to it. You can't defend the 35+ foot shots Michigan is making, but everything else, Syracuse has to be much more aggressive with, especially with rebounding! On offensive, Sutherland is not involved at all...plus Mr. Overrated (Michael Carter-Williams) is taking too many quick shots. 20 min. to go....
  3. Based on the flat footed defense and poor shot selection on offense, I believe it'll be a Louisville v. Michigan finale.
  4. With that kind of response, it's safe to say you're still an idiot. Listening skills? If you're hearing things in this thread then you need to seek help. As far as the semantics of "aid" vs. "war"....were American citizens being drafted and sent there? Yes. Were there hundreds of thousands of troops over there? Yes. Were we fighting in multiple countries at the same time? Yes. Is the term Prisoners of War (POW) used to describe the American troops that were left over there as the remaining brave soldiers jumped into the helicopters to get the hell out? Yes. Is this time period referred to as the "Vietnam War" in history books? Yes. End of story. STFU. I had family members who breathed their last breath over there.
  5. What the hell does Benghazi have to do with North Korea?
  6. C'mon Reg, you're shattering his world with that....'victory' is a very subjective term to some - especially revisionists.
  7. Well Billy is a drunk, right? Maybe he passed out when Jimmy was tuning up for TSRTS in '77....
  8. Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix

  11. Since I've Been Loving You - Shepperton Studios - 12/6/07 One of my favorite versions ever!
  12. Just finished listening to that yesterday...GREAT 'Communication Breakdown' to close the show with!
  13. Lee, we have a ticket selling site over here called Stubhub. I will check in to see what the tickets are selling on there - I'm sure it'll be over the top! Are you still in the city limits with your 'cheap' GA tickets at Hyde Park?
  14. So the tourney wraps up Sat/Mon night... 1st Semifinal game: Wichita State v. Louisville 2nd Semifinal game: Michigan v. Syracuse Winners of each play Monday night for the championship. Any thoughts or predictions???
  15. When I first saw Page/Plant in '95 in Orlando, I was surprised to see another guitaritst on stage with Jimmy. But when they played "The Song Remains The Same", I couldn't believe how close to the original it sounded with the two guitars going at it - definitely surprised to see Porl take the first lead too. I actually didn't know who he was and my wife, who unlike me is a fan of The Cure, knew who he was before they played "Lullaby". I didn't care for the song much, but when we saw them again in Chicago I thought the song sounded great. To get off the subject a little, Pagey in '98 stole the show! His playing had improved so much by then. "No Quarter" '98 was certainly a highlight of that show and a huge surprise!
  16. GA and sections 1 - 3 price: Arm AND Leg! Those prices are BEYOND ridiculous!
  17. Lady Gaga rejects $1 million offer to perform at RNC Lady Gaga once wore a dress made of meat, but apparently even she has her limits. The pop superstar reportedly turned down an offer of $1 million to play at the Republican National Convention. Turns out an independent conservative group - American Action Network - courted Gaga to perform in Tampa, Florida, last summer at an event "honoring women who run for public office." The rejection is probably not much of a surprise, seeing as how Gaga isn't exactly known for her conservative views. But had she taken the offer, she wouldn't be the first celebrity to get a paycheck from a strange ideological bedfellow Jennifer Lopez reportedly once earned $2 million to sing for a Russian billionaire. Elton John sang at Rush Limbaugh's 2010 wedding, telling "USA Today" they even became friends ("He sends me the loveliest e-mails," the singer said). 50 Cent? You can find him "In Da Club" and and at da bat mitzvah for the daughter of one-time defense contractor David Brooks. Then there are the indecent proposals - like when Robert Redford offered a million dollars for a night with Demi Moore. Okay, that was a film, but there have been moments with that kind of controversy. Actress Hillary Swank split with her management team after she appeared at a party for a Chechen leader accused of all kinds of human rights violations. Swank later gave the money to charity. Beyoncé serenaded "All the Single Ladies," and at least one son of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi in 2008. The singer later said she gave all her proceeds - reportedly $1 million - to Haiti earthquake relief. Nelly Furtado and Mariah Carey did similar Gadhafi bashes. In 1996, Michael Jackson did a private party for the Sultan of Brunei. The reported price tag was $16 million. Posted by John BermanFiled under: Pop Lead
  18. Zeppelin boys, take note. A "tour" can be short and sweet - 10 American cities with one date each and a couple of UK shows, done!
  19. Plus you have one of the best managers in baseball, Rick - IMO.
  20. Another example of a classy Red Sox fan!

Those were tough conditions, CP. Plus playing during March in your part of the world is a risky proposition - you may want to ice over a puddle in your drive-way to help with that putting stroke!
  22. Hope your son is alright, Amie! Those glass doors can be a bitch! I have broken my nose walking into a very clean sliding glass door once - no fun at all!
  23. Sorry to see you go, Planted! I have always appreciated your knowledge on medical issues and patient care. I agree, I hope it's short lived!
