  2. What an ego, reminds me of someone...oh never mind. Are you a teacher?
  3. It really is beginning to sound like you are looking for more child care with that last statement. Your school calendar looks to be a bit different than what we have over here, so I really don't have a full grasp of what your complaint is. Here in the U.S., calendars do vary from state to state, but there is usually a 10 week summer break, a week for Spring Break, two weeks for Christmas/New Years, a half week for Thanksgiving and about 5 national holidays. My son's school day is 8 - 3, with teachers usually there from 7 - 5 for duties, tutoring, meetings, etc.
  4. The teachers at my son's school mostly work 10 hour days, plus take work home with them. But that is a very successful Charter School, so they have less support than the "regular" public schools.
  5. I wasn't asking about Bonzo's "heroes" just if he was aware of Peart, who was already being called "the professor" of drumming in the late 70's and if Bonham had made any public comments about him or his drumming. As far as jazz drummers, it is worth noting that Peart went under the tutor-ledge of legendary jazz drummer Freddie Gruber to learn better technique. It's just interesting that the guys who repeatedly are considered the two greatest rock drummers were never really cross referenced by one another. I've searched for some quotes on either side, not much came up from Peart on Bonham and nothing has come up from Bonham on Peart.

C'mon SD a meter is only 3" longer than a yard, not much computation there! On a side note, the Walter family is lamenting the fact that Grandpa-in-law lost in a playoff for the 2nd consecutive year @ the Legends of Golf in Savannah! Little Walter took it especially hard! Good round CP! Gonna have a puff in your honour tonight!
  7. There is always a debate over who is/was the better drummer, but that is obviously opinion based. What I am wondering is, are there any quotes by John Bonham about Neil's playing? Was he even aware of him? I know he loved Stewart Copeland of The Police and voiced that a few times in '79-'80, but I have never read anything where he spoke about Peart.
  8. Watch out Barry! I hope he doesn't get hit by a car crossing the street or anything! Rick, I don't have much to say about the draft tonight. It will be very unpredictable, that's all I can say. I think your Bills' plan is a good one. Go down and get a solid o-lineman, along with more picks. If they can protect Kolb, I think he'll do alright with you guys. Nassib will not be around in the 2nd round, IMO. But a solid lineman for the next 10 years is always a good move.
  9. Easy now, Nutrocker - don't get greedy there "King Of '77"!
  10. Good stuff, Sean! As far as your Dallas questions....the answers are YES and YES! They have done nothing to improve and now are trying to switch to a 4-3 defense with 3-4 linebackers! Plus no quality or depth on the o-line and running back positions. I predict between a 6-10 and 8-8 season - AGAIN! As far as your statement about Reggie Bush, remember he went to Detroit - right, Paul? I'm sure Rick will have delusions about his Bills, but New England could very well end up 13-3 in the AFC East this year based on the talent level in that division this year. I don't believe the Ravens are going to go far this year, even possibly not make the playoffs. The AFC North very well could be Cincinnati's to lose. You gotta believe that Tomlin will turn that Steeler team back into a playoff contender, but they have lost a lot and Big Ben seems to be getting more and more injury prone. AFC South should be in the hands of the Texans again, will they falter in the playoffs again as well? AFC West, I agree with Paul - the Broncos are the team to beat to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season, barring an injury to Manning. NFC East. Hmmmm, the Giants are gonna bounce back. Best talent on both sides of the ball and a still underrated coach, IMO. Redskins haven't been able to add much to the team through free agency and they don't have a 1st round pick this year - with that said, they got their new star running back in what the 7th round last year? NFC North could really be a dog fight this year. The Bears are in transition with their coaching changes, the Pack are obviously loaded with arguably the best QB in football, the Lions look good on paper but can they keep it together? The Vikings are again the team to watch there, they just play very well together and of course AP is hard to bet against. The Buc's are going to make the NFC South much more interesting with their new group of CB's, against the high-flying Falcons and Saints. Remember, Sean Payton will also be back this season for the Saints. NFC West is the Niners to lose, but the Rams are really coming along and I like Coach Fisher a lot! The Seahawks have added some explosive talent, but will Wilson continue to play at the level he did at the end of last season? Is he gonna be able to take the hits a running QB has to take? This year's draft has to be the most uncertain ever. No clear cut hierarchy as in the past and not as much top-tier talent either. Picking today, I'll have to go with a San Francisco/Denver Super Bowl.
  11. With songs like 'Dazed and Confused', 'Sunshine Of Your Love', and other heavy riff orientated songs by Iron Butterfly and Blue Cheer, etc. out already - I don't know how they could be considered so original when they were just taking that sound a step further? Love Sabbath with Ozzy, but Zeppelin are in a league of their own - IMO.
  12. 6/21/77 Great performance, great energy, great set list and unbelievable vibe/atmosphere! Strider, you're a lucky man!
  13. Thanks! Check stubhub, the prices are coming down pretty quickly - might be able to take advantage of a desperate seller!

Have you tried out the "new" clubs yet? I was up in Savannah this past weekend, Saturday would've been nice - but it was windy as hell yesterday!

  18. Mrs. Walter and I "won" a pair of Pesidential Suite seats, at an online auction benefiting my son's school, for Rush this Sunday evening! Only $160 total! A bunch of VIP extras come along with them! Rush was our first concert together when we started dating back in 1990, this will be our 5th time seeing them. Looking forward to it!
