Personally speaking, IF they did ever play a series of gigs - I would prefer them NOT to play Stairway...it's just so played out. I enjoyed them not playing it in the various P/P shows I saw.
I enjoyed the Charlie Rose interview portion of yesterday's CBS This Morning show. Charlie seemed to know the music and history of the band better than most. Too bad they didn't get interviewed for That Metal Show. Eddie Trunk would do a good job with them, IMO. He certainly knows and respects Zeppelin's music!
^ You know he's referring to the 11th. I agree the performance was not great, but I've heard worse! For me, because how good the 4th was, the 11th was disappointing. This is coming from someone who was not actually there, btw.
I will not, out of respect for those who volunteered the information without any kind of "witch hunt". If you and the mods are alright with it, I will step aside and let you and the people directly involved hash it out. Not MY fight.
Sopranos rerun on tonight - HBO - for me!
Why the fuck did I make my picks today, when I could've waited until Saturday???
Some tough picks, STL/TB, CIN/PITT, NO/DAL, SF/SEA, NYG/BALT - all close match-ups, with much on the line for the last 4!
Sue is all over '77 soundboard Landover shows, isn't she! I'm glad you got them - Christmas early!!
Oh yeah......
No Quarter - London - 12/6/07
IMO this version rivals many of the best '73 versions - great mood/vibe!
I agree, this song was really their first fusion together. Seems strange they never recorded a version either at the BBC or in studio. Would LOVE to hear one though - always loved it when they played the song live!
10-5 so far this week. I'm still on a high after last night's Cowboys comeback with v. Pittsburgh! That showed a lot of heart, which has not been around much these last few years!
Good. I taped this week's show. My dvr didn't tape Paul's set at the 12/12/12 concert, so I missed their fusion. Thanks again for posting the song, really diggin' it!
GE Smith is in Roger's band. He is most notably the former band leader for SNL for years. I believe Snowy White is also in his band? I could be wrong about that though.
