Just heard an interesting statistic, over 283,000 guns were sold over the recent "Black Friday" weekend - an all-time record in this country for weekend sales. Why would the assault weapon that was used, be legally owned? What use would it have other than shooting a bunch of people rapidly and repeatedly?

The preview looked great at the beginning of the show. The guys look GREAT in that glass room where the interview takes place. It is not Charlie Rose's interview. Don't they run his interviews on PBS? Showing grieving parents right now....so sad!

There is no way gun control laws are gonna change here. IMO. Too much power and lobby money involved in the NRA. As was said earlier, trying to get to these individuals before it ever comes to these type of act is one part of the solution. As RH said, police presence and protection at our schools is another part. In the end, where there is a will to do acts like this - there will always be a way, in our modern day society here.

Yeah I've seen STP 8 times and VR 3. Scott just never seemed to click with VR on stage, like did with STP. VR's first disc was epic, the best Scott had put out since Tiny Music...., IMO. I would like to see them together again, as long as it's aggressive music and not like an STP disc just with different muscians - like Libertad was.

I agree. We do not do enough to identify troubled people, especially our youth. As fdm12 said earlier, we do not take mental illness seriously enough in this country. Put that along with easy access to firearms and these horrific events just keep continuing. I can't even imagine what is going in the homes of the victims tonight. Start the day like any other and then you lose your child to a senseless, violent act.
