  1. Maybe the Monday Night comeback game when Romo threw 5 picks and they still came back to win with a Nick Folk 50 yard field goal??? Good times, good times....
  2. I always felt that "Since..." from Shepperton was as close to the original Zeppelin as I have heard since Bonzo passed. Amazing version for sure! Can't wait to watch the rehearsal show next week!!! Oh yeah and the movie, again, too! Lucky you Ed A!
  3. I was never a huge fan of Presence when I first heard it, which is interesting because I was a big fan of metal in the early 80's. Over time I have grown to fully embrace it as another chapter in the storied career of the greatest band ever. I really have grown to love "For Your Life" since the O2 show. I have always loved ALS, NFBM, Royal Orleans and HOFN. "Tea For One" always seemed to drag on too long for me. My father, who got me into Zeppelin first, enjoyed it when I would make him a tape to listen to. So once I sent him a Zeppelin blues tape that included "Tea For One" and he asked me where that song came from and how much he identified with the lyrics. So, I gave it more of a listen and now I find myself getting lost in the song every time I hear it - mainly thinking about him, now that he has passed away. The only song I still don't really dig is "Candy Store Rock". Just something about it has never worked for me.....but there is still time. Presence is a fantastic effort by the band, during one of their most trying times - IMO.
  4. Welcome John! Looking forward to your future posts.
  5. True, it's not a win or loss. But it would take your winning percentage down. We should all just drop the tie, IMO. Otherwise, it's like a loss to all of us in a percentage sense. Technically none of us did pick the game correct though. Over thinking this, I know....... 11-2-1 for the week, for me.
  6. Reportable? It was a joke. The fact your still on here, with your current name, after all you've said over the past week is the greatest mystery. MM was YOUR buddy and pen pail. See you don't even remember that you have repeatedly told us about your pills - that's why I have had enough for today. You should report your "fire station" voting precinct for not checking ID's.
  7. Subtract those two states and he STILL wins. He won what, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts (Gov. Romney's state), Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, District of Columbia, Ohio, Michigan(Gov. Romney's home state), Illinois, Florida, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin (Paul Ryan's state), Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii. Popular vote for the nation was about 3,000,000 more votes for Obama. You can look up the actual count easily. What's pathetic is this discussion....out!
  8. I don't believe that! Fact - my mother lives about 200 miles away from you in NY state and was required to show photo ID in order to vote. Down here, we had to show ID, had our signature checked and had to orally identify our address. Step away from the pill bottle.....
  9. Most of the men can't count above 21 and that's only with their shoes off and pants down! Women, only 20! BTW, I live in Florida - there are more embarrassing things that go on down here than I even care to share! electoral college final count: 332-206....
  10. I remember SNL used it as an intro song to their news segment back in the early 80's. I LOVE the song! Remember Robert bashing it a bit during the 5/24/75 Earl's Court show? I was very surprised when he played it on his Manic Nirvana tour (plus playing guitar as well). I have it as the b-side to WLL, 45 mono version. I love the cool skip beat Bonzo does in the latter part of the song, plus Jimmy's wah-wah pedal work. It would have been a great encore or part of their opening two/three song start to their show back in the early 70's, IMO.
  11. Syracuse has knocked off undefeated #9 ranked Louisville! For you top programs that doesn't mean much, but for us SU fans that is HUGE!
  12. I didn't catch that one, what happened? Kiffin has always been a clown, as you are already aware of!
  13. Romney has spent the last 5 years trying to convince America to elect him and he hasn't gotten the job done. No "boogie man" theory, such as media bias, can overcome that fact.
  14. You're just a ray of sunshine anymore, Rick. Doom and gloom personified.... ANYTHING can happen. It should be a very interesting offseason.
  15. How well did he do in St. Louis? I don't have a very high opinion of him, but that doesn't mean he won't do a good job though.
  16. That's YOUR choice to be divided and not united...get over it BOTH the popular vote and electoral college went his way - so not half of the country voted against him or that would not be a fact.
  17. How many "demonstrations" were there, based on that video?
  18. This is exactly what was said, when I watched a round table discussion with former officials in the CIA. First they complain about the President campaigning within days of this happening. Then they complain about the President going to the devastated East Coast areas from Sandy, saying it was just for photo opportunities during the campaign. This is what a large portion of America is sick and tired of.... Well said SR!
  19. The gray ones and the orange tabby ones have always been the craziest, IMO. We had a huge Black/White tuxedo cat with big green eyes and he was very mild mannered.
