  1. A seminal album.. Good to see it being reissued! I suppose we're going to have everyone just making Jacko jokes now.. Well, personally... I grew up in the 80's as a Jacko and Prince fan, so..
  2. Paul does both... for the last few years in between the Queen stuff, Paul does solo tours in which he plays Free/Bad Co/Firm/Solo material... His last UK solo tour was really heavy on the Free material, due to the Free Forever & BBC discs coming out... It was fantastic!!
  3. I think I should certify you insane right now! I love Queen and I adore Paul Rodgers... I saw them tour the first time... In the end I have to say I did get a little tired of the almost tribute-show nature of the set.. but if they do something new and fresh, i'll be very interested in what they have to say! Apparently, this new version of Say It Isn't So has been completely re-worked in the studio, with all of them singing on it etc... We'll have to see tomorrow..
  4. Yeah, I only got into him a few years back... Great voice and guitar playing!
  5. Otis Rush is great! Another one of those upside down lefties, like Albert King! Double Trouble is one of my favourite Otis Rush tunes... So much emotion in that voice!
  6. I have a VOX AD30VT amp... Great little amp!
  7. Woody Allen - Complete Prose Funniest. Book. Ever.
  8. I actually like getting caught by the flood control in a kind of masochistic way... Helps remind me to calm down... It's almost like a, "Take a breather, son..."
  9. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford on friday!
  10. Damn, I LOVE The Faces! That DVD of backstage footage Ronnie talks about sounds VERY interesting!! I'll be in the queue for definite if they get together for a tour over here in ol' blighty!!
  11. I prefer the Fleetwood Mac version of that song with Jeremy Spencer ripping it up on slide! On the subject of The Answer... Like people have said before me.. they're just too much of a 70's blues/rock rip-off for me... I saw them live at Hyde Park last year when they were on the bill of Hyde Park Calling... It's all just bombast with no dynamics... Like most newer bands, who don't get that light & shade aspect..
  12. That is a great call! Joe is a seriously great blues guitarist! Joe Bonamassa - Blues Jam He does a great cover of 'Tea For One' on his album, 'You And Me' too.. Every blues fan should check him out.. He's got great feel, as well as amazing technical proficiency..
  13. I watched a clip from Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey the other day, where all the guys were talking about how Son House was the real granddaddy of the blues... Big Bill Morganfield was telling stories of how his dad used to say that if it weren't for Son, he wouldn't have existed...
  14. I love singing along to that song too! Oooh The machine of a dream, such a clean machine With the pistons a pumpin', and the hubcaps all gleam When I'm holding your wheel All I hear is your gear With my hand on your grease gun Mmm it's like a disease son I'm in love with my car, gotta feel for my automobile Get a grip on my boy racer rollbar Such a thrill when your radials squeal Told my girl I'll have to forget her Rather buy me a new carburettor So she made tracks saying this is the end now Cars don't talk back they're just four wheeled friends now When I'm holding your
  15. This insane video of Zakk Wylde just tearing it up and down the fretboard... All that in the cleanest tone... the mind boggles! Zakk Wylde - Clean blues shred
  16. He mostly sat down from what I remember.. but he was great! He talks so much to the audience!
  17. I didn't think much of that performance... but I absolutely adore 'I'm In Love With My Car'! Great live song with Rog singing!
  18. I saw BB King on his 80th birthday tour! Apparently it was his last tour outside of the US, so i'm so glad I went!
  19. Love that Magic Sam vid in your sig, Magic Sam!
  20. Buddy Guy is/was the man! Check this video out as proof!
  21. Freddie King - Have You Ever Loved A Woman John Mayall's Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton - Have You Heard (For Eric's solo alone!) Muddy Waters - Feels Like Going Home Buddy Guy - Mary Had A Little Lamb Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood Well, those are my top five as of 11am this morning... No doubt it's a constantly changing list..
