  1. It was packed. I know sales have been slow elsewhere, but I guess they have a lot of fans in LA. They also filmed the show, so look for the 'Live in LA' DVD soon I guess. I was actually dragged to this concert, I was never a fan, but I gotta say, they put on a great show, the video stuff was fantastic
  2. Would be cool to see Aimee in a bigger venue like the Greek. Let me know if she has the string quartet. Saw the Smashing Pumpkins last night at the Forum. They did Stairway to Heaven, complete with "Does anyone remember laughter?" Great show, but kinda long, they played for three hours!
  3. Agreed! This whole gig is great. But it just makes me think "Where are the fucking soundboards for these shows just prior to MSG?" You know they have to exist. Boston, Baltimore, Pittsburg...c'mon, what the hell man...who's hoarding these?
  4. The Song Remains the Same from Landover 2/10/75, the soundboard recording. Killer version. John Paul Jones is insane on this. Might be my new favorite version. Didn't see it on you tube
  5. those color shots are from the Whisky, Jan '69. Cool!
  6. I was surprised Dustin Johnson let the lead slip away. I mean, I know the course was brutal but this is a guy who rarely gives up that lead once he's got it, he's very Tiger-like that way. It almost looked like Patrick Reed was gonna win his second major of the year for a minute there. If Dustin had won maybe we'd have gotten another controversial shot of lovely Paulina Gretzky sashaying up the stairs again, right? Haha. Anyway, congrats to Koepka
  7. Nice! "carefully annotated"; so they all had a hand in writing captions for the pictures, which is what I was hoping for. Good to see the fellas all together!
  8. No mention of Keith Moon on the 23rd?
  9. That was excellent, thanks for sharing. Is it me or did he actually forget to mention Buddy Rich?
  10. I was at that Halloween show too! Cracked me up when "Tina Belcher" won best costume. Remember the B/W video they were showing, was it the Germs? Yeah that was a great show
  11. I was there as well! Wasn't that cool when they went into Goodbye Yellow Brick Road? Royal Blood were awesome too
  12. Well...this sent me scurrying over to you tube. Found it! Thanks for the tip!
  13. He was a great guy, had the privilege of knowing him. He played with Bob Dylan, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Rivers, then became a successful actor in many movies and tv shows. Did a TON of charity work. RIP Mickey Jones
  14. Bonzo with a 'fro? Could it be? whoa
  15. Heavy Metal! Yeah, all those Ralph Bakshi movies, Fritz the Cat, and stuff, I'd always go to the triple-bill Hendrix night with Rainbow Bridge, Jimi Plays Berkeley and the WB documentary. Never cared for Rocky Horror much, but it fit right in with Flesh Gordon and flicks like that. The Rialto in South Pas was the place, Big comfy chairs in back, saw TSRTS a million times there....
  16. This should be great. Hope it's priced for the masses
  17. Ha! NIce one That mask got passed around quite a bit in Newcastle
  18. Wow, this is funny, who's on keys? That can't be Rick Wakeman, can it? Bruford's hair is cracking me up, not to mention Chris Squire's "shoes"
  19. Love it. I prefer Glen Hughes on backup vocals, this is great
  20. CD 15 of "Studio Magik" contains some fishy stuff. That's not really 5 takes of Ten Years Gone, for example, they drop the needle on the first half of the record and call it "take one", play the end of the record ("take two") and play some of the middle ("take three") etc... Typical bootlegger nonsense. Sorry to stray, but it came up and I just sampled that disc the other night, so it was an opportunity to vent. Carry on...
