dragster
Yep, Dimebag left us on the 8th Dec. 2004.....RIP brother....never to be forgotten Rock Musician. A native of Dallas, Texas, known as 'Diamond Darrell' and later 'Dimebag Darrell,' he was the lead guitarist for the influential heavy metal group, 'Pantera.' The band, popular from its beginning in 1982 up through the 2000s, included members Vinnie Paul, Phil Anselmo, David Peacock, Terry Glaze, and Rex 'Rocker' Brown. The band released several albums over there more then 20 year career and had several songs debut on the Billboard Charts. The band was considered 'the most intense metal band this side of death metal.' Some of there recordings include, 'Mouth For War,' 'Walk,' 'This Love,' 'By Demons Be Driven,' 'Hell Bound,' 'Death Rattle,' 'Up Lift,' 'Revolution Is My Name,' 'I'll Cast A Shadow,' 'Goddamn Electric,' 'Cemetery Gates,' 'Forever Tonight,' 'Down Below,' and 'Daughters Of The Queen.' After 'Pantera,' Abbott later joined another Heavy Metal group called 'Damageplan.' On December 8, 2004, while performing at the Alrosa Villa Club in Columbus, Ohio, with his band, a man suddenly burst into the club and began shooting. Three people including Abbott were killed, and a few others were injured. The gunman was later shot and killed by a police officer.
