Administrators sam_webmaster Posted April 9, 2011 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2011 ANDY MANSON - THE JOHN PAUL JONES COLLECTION We have just added the new John Paul Jones Collection page. Seth and I spent a day with John Recently and cataloged the collection of instruments that I have made for him over the years. It was a very enjoyable day, good company, full of memories and the pleasure of John noodling on the next instrument waiting to be photographed. It is quite a varied collection when put together. Check www.johnpauljones.com/multimedia.html to see some of the instruments in action. Also I have recently started work on two new instruments - A 3 point mandolin which has some incredibly figured maple for the back and sides. And an arch top guitar. Arch top for that typical attack, flat back for the open harmonic feast which goes with that. 100 year old reclaimed Cuban mahogany for real lightness, airiness. It's the sound I have been looking for for years. I will upload some pictures of work in progress very soon. http://www.andymanson.co.uk/the_john_paul_jones_collection

Patrycja
It's fitting that they work together. Beautiful craftsmanship deserves a musician who can bring out the best in such instruments. The facebook page is cool, too.
