TypeO Posted June 16, 2013 Share Posted June 16, 2013 Well, Monday the 17th is our 18th Anniversary, so me and Mrs. O are just getting some last-minute stuff ready as we prepare to leave early in the morning for Vegas, bay-beee! We went there on our honeymoon back in '95, and we're even staying at the same Hotel/Casino - The Excalibur. Leave tomorrow morning and return Wednesday - 3 nights in Vegas, I can't wait! Actually, we chose there simply because it's so cheap. 3 nights is right at $150 - you can't get a room here in town that cheap. They make SO MUCH off the gambling, everything else is beyond reasonable - food, alcohol, entertainment. So yeah, really looking forward to unplugging for a few days and having some fun. I'll try to post some photos in between, if possible. Either way, may I suggest eating one breakfast at the Paris, not sure what restaurant but it is the expensive one in the hotel, not the Eiffel Tower. Blown about $120 in the casino with nothing to show for it - oh well. Overall, we're having a blast. Me and Mrs. O on the plane. The Excalibur where we're staying. 44 oz. 190 Octane frozen drink. TypeO Posted June 20, 2013 Author Share Posted June 20, 2013 Whew. What a week. Our flight was around 6:30 a.m., which means we had to catch the airport shuttle at 4:00 a.m.. Which meant we had to get up at 3:00 a.m. Which meant I never got to bed because I was still in the casino playing Texas Hold 'Em and drinking free double Crown and Cokes, LOL. My wife called around 2:40 a.m. and asked if I knew what time it was. I honestly thought it was about 1:00 a.m. So I just went to the room and took a shower and packed. Awesome time, had a blast. A few more pics and I'll detail a couple things tomorrow sometime. Got a $100 credit at the Pampas Brazilian Grille - unbelievable. Best. Photo Op. EVER! LOL Sleep is totally overrated, LOL.
