paul carruthers
^^ No, I picked the Broncos to win, but as the old sayings go "anything is possible" and "any given Sunday." I'm pulling for Denver though, if for no other reason, I'm getting a little tired of hearing about Peyton's subpar record in the postseason and only having one ring. pottedplant
ITA. San Diego will fight hard but they are not in the same league as Denver. This is a playoff game and Manning will be on the top of his game.
Walter
Put it where it's at....Peyton Manning is very exciting to watch and he's one of the few qb's who can be considered on par with Tom Brady heading into a championship game. I so hope it will be NE v. Den and SF v. Sea next Sunday. THAT will be a great day of football - and those have been the best 4 teams this season, IMO. pottedplant
I'm with you Walter. The four best teams should face off because all four deserve to be where they are. They are consistent and worthy of their wins all season.

Unless you live in Carolina and San Diego, I think all of America wants to see NE vs. DEN and SF vs. SEA next week in the Conference Championship games. They have been the four best and most consistently good teams this season. Walter, nothing to say about my top players list that you asked for? There are some quarterbacks that can wear a beard. Aaron Rodgers. Ben Roethlisberger. Brett Favre. Dan Fouts and Kenny Stabler could rock the hell out of a beard back in the day. Andrew Luck is not one of those guys. He looks ridiculous with his beard.
jabe
I rarely pick the winners in Led Zeppelin 2013-2014 Playoff Predictions thread. But when I do, they have scored more points than their opponent. Stay thirsty my friends.
pottedplant
I agree Strider-man. Besides the beard, Luck is downright ugly.
paul carruthers
The weather looks nice in Carolina, but I would be surprised if the score got into the high 20s today. Go Panthers!!!
Anjin-san
1849'ers!

I would love to see them win. But my money says SF.
paul carruthers
Oh c'mon, he barely bumped the man; unnecessary roughness my ass....
paul carruthers
Hmmm, what do you do if you're Ron Rivera; take the 3 points or go for 6....

in_the_evening
I smell an upset in the making....Colin is hobbling around, Panthers look sharp. Only 7-6 with 11:10 in the half, so still real early.
paul carruthers
I just hope those 3 points Carolina decided not to take doesn't come back to haunt them....
paul carruthers
Wow, the Niners defense rises up again & now the Panthers better take the 3 points...
in_the_evening
Cam better smarten up and realize he's not a one man team. He's taking a beating and trying to do it all himself, a great recipe to lose with.
paul carruthers
Hmmm, is there enough visual evidence to overturn the call? If the Niners do get the TD, it's a 3 point game & those 3 points Carolina didn't take earlier will look big....
pottedplant
Touchdown!!!
Strider
Halftime. It's the defensive battle we all figured. It'll come down to who makes the most mistakes in the second half: Cam or Colin?
pottedplant
Could someone please explain to me why next Week's game has to be played in the Seattle asylum?
pottedplant
I love Cam. He is so beautiful. But I picked the 49ers.
paul carruthers
Could someone please explain to me why next Week's game has to be played in the Seattle asylum? That's the benefits that come with being the #1 seed.

Strider
Could someone please explain to me why next Week's game has to be played in the Seattle asylum? As Herm Edwards could tell you, "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!!" The goal of the season is to finish with the most wins...he who wins the most gets the home field all thru the playoffs.
