Joelmon
I'm obviously 'old school'....but my list consists of FULL cd's/albums. I don't listen to just one particular song at a time. I just find it sad that this modern day trend lends to hacking the cd's apart. Any idea of 'conceptual cd' goes out the window.
Kissandra
I just find it sad that this modern day trend lends to hacking the cd's apart. Any idea of 'conceptual cd' goes out the window. Well, not all albums are worth listening to all the way through. I listen to whole albums when I feel like it. Anyway, I'll just post this one. This is from about a month of plays on windows media player (we lost our files a month ago): 1. 'Strange Times' - the Black Keys 2. 'Afraid Not Scared' - Ryan Adams 3. 'Belief' - Gavin DeGraw 4. 'Down To My Last' - Alter Bridge 5. 'Anybody Wanna Take Me Home' - Ryan Adams 6. 'Hold Me In Your Arms' - the Black Keys 7. 'In Love With A Girl' - Gavin DeGraw 8. 'Wonderwall' - Oasis 9. 'Big Road Blues' - the Barnburners 10. 'Burn It Down' - Alter Bridge 11. 'Belief (live)' - Gavin DeGraw 12. 'Goodbye Babylon' - the Black Keys 13. 'Can't Find My Mind' - the Black Keys 14. 'Brooklyn Bound' - the Black Keys 15. 'Things I Used To Do' - the Barnburners 16. 'Everybody Knows' - Ryan Adams 17. 'If You Ever Slip' - the Black Keys 18. '10% Awesome' - 10% Animal 19. 'Nutshell' - Alice In Chains 20. 'Hard Row' - the Black Keys 21. 'Angels' - Jessica Simpson 22. 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours' - Stevie Wonder 23. 'Avalanche' - Ryan Adams 24. Joelmon
Well, not all albums are worth listening to all the way through. I listen to whole albums when I feel like it. Well I think that reflects on the music you listen to. I have over 2,000 cds and I can honestly say...I only have ONE..that I skip a song on... The Flaming Lips "At War with the Mystics"...I can't stand the very first song..all the rest I like. But seriously....of all my cds'...I love every song on them... That reflects on the music I listen to.... Edited February 10, 2008 by Joelmon

I'd be inclined to say it just depends on the listening preferences of the individual. I listen to albums 90% of the time, but to be honest, being able to put your player on shuffle is useful when I'm being indecisive about what to listen to. But other than that I'd always prefer to listen to a whole album. I guess that's why my list has a lot of the same artists over and over again; because I've been listening to the albums with those tracks on. I guess that's why my list has a lot of the same artists over and over again; because I've been listening to the albums with those tracks on. I just realize that there's a very popular trend, the iPod shuffle thing makes it so EASY, to listen to one song from one artist at a time....it's definately more popular now than it was... Of course the 45rpm listeners would do that...stack a bunch of singles on their turntable spindle...for a one songer at a timer.....but that was even older school than me....50s, early to mid 60s mostly..the later 60s on thru into the 70s LP's became the NORM....at least full sides, if not the whole album... zosodude13
I like listening to albums too... but there are some songs where its good enough just to listen to it alone... besides... even if you have a bunch of songs you listen to reguarly... it still counts as being listened to if you play the whole album Edited February 10, 2008 by zosodude13

Jarlaxle 56
I don't have a top 20 or whatever, but I will say that I don't listen to the full album when I'm just listening to music on the computer. I only do it when I'm in the mood to listen to that whole album, it's not that I dislike some tracks on them or whatever, it's just fun to put it on shuffle for a while and see what comes up. Deezer
It's part of his King's Highway EP, available only in iTunes. For the record, it's amazing. I don't say this normally about covers, but it's BETTER than the Allman Brothers Band original.
