" Big Log " used as bumper music on Coast to Coast AM Radio show

The Rover

He robbed the cradle with a filipina and has been semi-retired for a while now. He guest hosts whenever he feels like it. He seems to do a show every now and then just for fun.

What a complete wackadoodle this guy was. I used to listen to him over night while driving. His insane topics and guests kept me awake.

Hey my man, I listen to him nightly on CFUN 1410 in Vncouver. Try hooking up via cable or satilite. He does have his fair share of guest hosts but he himself is on most nights. Working an evening shift is just not the same without Ol' Art...lol

I think he knows it's a schtick. I mean, I sense a wink and a nudge now and then. Same with the weekend guy, Ian. I think his replacement, George Noory, actually takes this crap seriously. That guy is dumber than a lamp-post.

The following is a list of documented George Noory quotes. Known as "Nooryisms"... these non sequitur quips and half-witted, meandering ramblings exacerbate feelings of disappointment over what has happened to Coast to Coast AM since Noory took over from Art Bell. If you happen to know of others and you can document when they occurred, please post them in a reply to this topic.

"Could it be a portal?"

***********

"I don't think there's any doubt."

***********

"Let me tell you even I have learned some things here I didn't know about."

From Jul 19 2007. Following a round table discussion on trans-humanism.

***********

"How 'bout a dramatic topic... trans-humanism... you know, when you just think of the word trans-humanism, you dudint think that it's that exciting but it really is!"

From July 19 2007. He really did say dudn't.

***********

"If we all had our own solar system, we wouldn't have to worry about that."

From July 19, 2007. During a discussion on solar energy.

***********

"Did you hear today they just found Saturn's 60th moon? I will give you one million dollars of the network's money, James, if you, in the next two minutes, can name all sixty."

From July 19, 2007.

***********

George Noory: "Dr. Leir's website is www.alienscalpel.com. Ooh, that's scary sounding. Alien scalpel."

Dr. Roger Leir: "Well, you know me George, I don't try to scare people."

George Noory: "Yeah, with those fang teeth of yours?"

July 6, 2007.

************

"If you raised a baby and beat it and kicked it and yelled at it, it would turn out to be a mean baby?"

July 19, 2007.

George: "It would be great if Saddam just left Iraq, don't you think?"

Hal: "Yes, but he's not going to do that. Like last time, he's going to put his citizens in harm's way, use them as human shields, and wreak destruction on the oil fields."

George: "That's kind of selfish, isn't it?"

The whole show is based on speculation and they interview so called sources to make a big news breaking story, when in fact very little is known. Usually not much truth to them, though entertaining.

They've also used RP's "In The Mood" also on the show.

I especially love to listen to the discussions about supposed things on the landscape of Mars that were apparently not natural, but made by an outside force, ie man-made, or Martian-made, if you will. The secret photos, and the govt. secrecy, etc.....

Makes for a good night ! !

One time I had taken a day off work and decided to paint my living room over night so I could put things back together on my off day. My wife wakes up and hears the coast to coast opening music and thinks I'm watching porno..lol

What song is that opens the show? Straight '80's porn sounding...lol

The song is called "The Chase" by Giorgio Moroder and is from the film Midnight Express. He also did Cat People (David Bowie) and the music from Scarface as well. Here you go.
