The Top five albums "of all time" would be definition have been over-played and over listened to, more or less...... already .....

So what's the point !

But I guess we need yet again to herald the obvious, right ? ? ?

I'll pass on this one.... :D

5. Metallica: Master Of Puppetsmet-master.jpg

4. AC/DC: Back In Black back_in_black.jpg

3. Aerosmith: Toys In The Attic toys_in_the_attic.jpg

2. Black Sabbath: Paranoid paranoid.jpg

1. Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin IV 26880192_iv.jpg

How's it going all? In my opinion, the Top 5 Albums of all-time are:

(1.) THE BEATLES- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band-1967

(2.) THE BEACH BOYS- Pet Sounds-1966

(3.) PINK FLOYD- The Dark Side Of The Moon-1973

(4.) LED ZEPPELIN-Led Zeppelin II-1969

(5.) THE ROLLING STONES-Sticky Fingers-1971

ROCK ON!

There's no way to determine the "Top Five Albums of All Time", that's why I just named five of my favorites. Otherwise, I agree. Threads like this are pretty much pointless since it's all a matter of opinion anyway. You could name the best selling albums of all time but that doesn't necessarily mean any of them are great. Again, what's "best" all boils down to individual opinion.

Whoops, I was thinking about "Top 5 favy", not "all time" ones. Sorry. :)

Of course there is no way you can compile an 'objective' list, let alone of only five albums. Here are some that I like, restricting myself to popular music.

Led Zeppelin, Houses of the Holy

Genesis, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

Joni Mitchell, The Hissing of Summer Lawns

Kate Bush, The Sensual World

Frank Zappa, Zappa in New York

Ooh some good ones - A Love Supreme is an amazing album. I love Romantic Warrior too but I'd probably lean more towards Light As A Feather as far as faves of Return to Forever.
