  1. Well, they're going to be releasing yet another version of Live At Leeds............the 40th anniversary edition. On this will be the complete show from Hull recorded the night after. http://store.universal-music.co.uk/restofworld/Special-Editions/The-Who-Live-At-Leeds-40th-Anniversary-Super-Deluxe-Collectors-Edition/invt/0602527500720 http://mog.com/blog_post/content/723/2401080 I guess the Hull show is no longer magically missing JE's bass parts.............ah, technology.
  2. "Order In Chaos" by Jack Whyte. This is the third novel of his Knights Templar trilogy series.
  3. Well that's why we have opinions. To me the Blizzard of Oz was pop metal compared to the classic Sabbath recordings. The voice was the same but nothing else was remotely close.
  4. I notice Amazon has Deluxe versions of Paranoid and Masters of Reality. Does anyone here own these and if you do, are they worth buying? I do own the Black Box pictured above so I'm wondering if the bonus music found on these is worth the effort or not. Thanks
  5. When it comes to Superfectas and Pick style bets, sometimes throwing in a 30-1 bomber isn't a bad thing to do. The problem is doing it routinely lol which is my problem. Good luck.
  6. Well this is NRYA's big weekend. The Travers Stakes on Saturday and Rachael Alexander running on Sunday in the Personal Ensign Stakes. There's a guaranteed million dollar Pick 4 wager and a special daily double linking the Travers and the Ensign races over the two days. Bet early and often, good luck.
  7. I've often though Zeppelin got into Zeppelin because of The Who but hey, that's just me..........
  8. Well I can't speak for "Yank gas" but I do remember an announcement made on The Who newsgroup about his death a couple of months before JE actually died. You have to take everything said on Usenet with a grain of salt but I found it odd. I still do, considering what eventually happened. For the record I don't think American gas is any different that British gas...........but I may be wrong lol.
  9. Gov't Mule: "Mullenium" I've always heard about the band but really never took the time to listen to them. Tremendous, really. Triple CD from their New Years Eve show back in 1999.
  10. The new album is tremendous. The "Wiser Time"/"Cold Boy Smile" medley is worth the price of the album alone. Target has it on sale now for 7.99.......... It'll be a sad day when this tour ends. Nobody plays like this. Sure there are "jam bands" but vocally they all suck. Long live the Crowes.
  11. Yeah, South Bound Suarez was worthy too. How refreshing huh? I'm not one of the "faithful", just somebody who's listened to them on and off for forty plus years now.
  12. There's never been a Zeppelin track on any of their albums up to In Through The Out Door that I'd consider "least favorite". They all fit the mood of whatever LP they were on. From Led I right through Presence........they were all worthy. Then as stated above, In Through The Out Door was released........"least favorite" there? With the exception of I'm Gonna Crawl...........the entire album itself.
  13. Thanks for posting the videos. Like I said on page one..........immense. Regards;
  14. The Cure "Disintigration" deluxe 3 CD reissue.
  15. Oh yes indeed. July 23rd at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga New York. I saw them twice here the past couple of years on their Snakes and Arrows Tour and again the year after. Rush is..........immense. They're supposed to play the entire Moving Pictures album at this show. I'm not sure it gets better than this. Regards;
  16. A place haunted by Lennon's murder I didn't want to copy the entire article posted above, but, I'll NEVER understand or get over the fact that John Lennon was shot to death. Never. It'll just be one of those things that will never make any sense to me. Everytime I think about it or read an article about it I always have the same initial mental response to it.........."who in hell would want to shoot John Lennon and why". Makes no sense.
  17. This right here: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/the-who/concerts/tanglewood-july-07-1970.html Nothing better, ever.
  18. Answering the original question..................yes.
  19. Adam and the Ants "Dog Eat Dog" Honest Guess you had to be there.........
  20. The Black Crowes "Before The Frost..Until The Freeze" on vinly. A good old fashioned double live LP, just like the old days. Not a digital download or CD in sight for this one. The music is epic old school rock and twang and so is the listening format......as it should be. Life is good. By the way, in case anyone has the CD and the free download that came with it, you really should listen to this in the song order of the vinyl pressing. It really opens the album up and gives a much better listening experience. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Before_the_Frost...Until_the_Freeze
  21. Zoso is ancient Druid which roughly translates to "Led Zeppelin IV". Only us really old hardcore fanatics know this little factoid. Be sure to keep it secret please. Regards;
