  1. I find the possibility there are artifacts on the moon and Mars intriguing. Also the very few UFO cases that remain credible and unexplained. I don't have conclusions (wow! it's real!!!/None of it is legit!!!), but I am damn sure when Astronauts encounter objects there are protocols put in place to switch to secure channels while the situation is investigated. ie, if there is the possibility of something unknown, it is hidden from the public while evaluated. I think this thinking is a relic from another age, but persists now in a more nefarious context. So there is space for actual conspiracy theories to exist given the nature of powerful Governments thinking they need to control what the population is "exposed to". I don't think that in and of itself is a conspiracy theory, just a likely way shit is. Likely, but who knows.
  2. JBLZE - at the end of this month. Was supposed to be Feb but was "delayed". Can't freakin wait. Then Killer Queen in August which we have already seen twice. John Blunt, for all intent and purposes - is Freddy Mercury.
  3. my current list of studio releases..... Kashmir The Rover How Many More Times In My Time of Dying Ten Years Gone Black Country Woman For Your Life Custard Pie Night Flight The Lemon Song Live..... Kashmir Over The Hills and Far Away No Quarter Sick Again Immigrant Song Achilles Last Stand Dazed and Confused I can't Quit you Baby Trampled Underfoot In My Time of Dying
  4. ^It immediately strikes me how the intro piano to NQ seems to be a great mix/balance between a pure piano sound and the organ. It's great! Not to mention the whole piece. Why the AUD talking? Is there no SB? Is this a matrix? And surely this is a prime example of how Knebworth could be it's own release - or the Led Zeppelin DVD release could be expanded to 3 or 4 DVDs???
  5. Seems like there are a couple of 77 shows that were great performances without soundboards. Is there any information on what '77 shows may be on someones shelf somewhere? (maybe even on EVSD's shelf)
  6. New fire pit obtained from Aldi. https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-28-april/saturday-detail-wk17/ps/p/outdoor-firepit-3/ I don't expect the screws to last for years, but no too bad a build quality. The size is outstanding. And next weekend is a long weekend so a fire out the back with some great music is on the cards. Can't wait!
  7. I spied a great deal on a Dell Laptop on ozbargains this morning. Half price with great specs. I have been keeping an eye out for No1 Son (he needs one for school starting July). Rang the local JB HiFi, reserved one at the $699 price (50% off). It was later pulled as it was a pricing error. Many missed out (even some who also reserved it) but my one was honoured. Wifey picked it up this arvo. They are now listed at $200 off ($1200)
  8. They are outstanding! Again, how rare/common are they and what do they go for?
  9. What would the obelisk (original) go for, and how available are they?
  10. ^exactly. One could easily say - SAME AS ALCOHOL. Don't drive drunk, don't be a nuisance in a public place drunk and act like a complete tool. Same with Pot. The fact alcohol is legal and (especially here in Oz) is ridiculously embedded in our culture (ALL major sports run non stop ads for bevvy's and sponsorship is off the hook) and alcohol abuse is by far the most destructive of all legal/illegal drugs and pot with known medicinal qualities (specifics need more research, but there is strong anecdotal evidence and more scientific research that there are at least some benefits in certain cases) is illegal. It is the worst hypocritical shit. So drink or smoke responsibly (or meditate, or whatever you do to relax that does not need to concern others), and have a great time one and all. PS. interesting about the test that actually determines if currently affected or a session from the recent past. I wonder what Australian authorities tests are?
  11. If you do EC, I have a suggestion.... As an exercise, listen with no video, write the review, then take a break, and listen and watch again with the footage (where the show has good footage). I'm always interested in how there is a difference with audio vs audio+video. I am not sure why, but it seems (to me) one vs the other can result in very different experiences. I'd be interested to know if that in any way translates into what you are doing (probably not so much on the technical level you are providing, but who knows! Worth doing I think). Cheers!
  12. Got to Caravan park at 6am to upgrade reserved spots to (hopefully) better ones - ended up getting 3 next to each other that are the BEST non-waterfront in the park. 10m from the sand. River views, NW facing, and they're HUGE. Next Easter's camping is going to ROCK!!!!! Kayaks and bikes will be loaded up this time around.
  13. If I get high on cannabis and listen to some Led Zeppelin (boots or official stuff), it is a truly incredible experience for me. It really is. I don't necessarily recommend it to people who don't smoke. Each to their own. But why should I not be able to enjoy it? Why? It's dangerous? No, not to me. Not like Alcohol is dangerous to me. And I don't want alcohol banned. So why can't I enjoy a smoke/edible? If you have an addictive type of personality, ANY drug may not be good for you. Work and productive hobbies may be better for you. Again, each to their own. Everyone can make choices that suit them. Sometimes we make bad choices. And guess what? We are FREE to do that! So respectfully, get stuffed! to you who says I cannot smoke. Why the fuck do you take such an interest in how I relax - or care??? It is nobody's business but mine. Same if I get drunk. As long as I am not driving, or hassling anyone, who cares? Who fucking cares.
  14. Cold!!! Well, not quite, but I can at least feel that crisp cold air on the morning ride to work. But midday is still a ride without the jacket to get lunch. So sunny and warm through most of the daylight hours, but first and last thing is that reminder of what is at the door. And that god-damn sun at 4.30 when riding home - BRUTAL. (Blinded by the light....) Winter is almost upon us!!!
  15. I have an aud of it (Title: A Bloody act) dadgad. I'll put it up and send a link as soon as I can...
  16. 19/03/75. Just a few choice tracks while missus is out. Trampled is better than I remember. Great work by all 4. NQ and OTHAFA are outstanding as expected...
  17. LOL. And what would you have him do Steve? Say he was "yours" for a year...
  18. It's interesting that there was multiple proper cameras filming. Was it actually all captured? SAJ or someone in the know - was it all filmed? Whats the story?
  19. Its difficult. Yeah, free speech, but FFS, have some sensibility about what you are saying and to who. I can't offer opinions about politics/religion/etc. at my work that I should reasonably know might cause offence to some that are listening. It's just common sense. The idea that people that who: make mistakes/mis-speak/post an unpopular opinion to social media, or God forbid, crack a joke that offends some group - are made to disappear is a real problem. Bill Maher has talked about this and is dead right. And this shit comes mostly from liberals. Let there be diversity for fucks sake. But at the same time, don't go preaching your "views" where it should be obvious it is not the time or the place. As usual, common sense people!!!!!! *Edit - oh jeeeez, nearly forgot what thread I was posting to..... Finished my course, fly home tomorrow. Happy to have completed this training and to see the boss tomorrow, then fly home. Happy days.....
  20. funny how so many wishlist shows are the very early ones. Why aren't there more 70, 71, 72 soundboards? 75 is very well represented as is 77 and 80. Was the "liberation" of Jimmy's soundboards limited in what the "liberators" had access to??? Or did the band not record/keep the early stuff?
  21. Went to DreamWorld and White Water World with the family. And even though its 31 today there was NO ONE at the parks and no lines at all for all rides and slides. Was brilliant fun as always. And took the bike this time so cruised down the motorway in style. Dinner tonight for my daughter's birthday at the local Pig n Whistle in a few hours. Just time enough to sink a couple of Carlsberg cans. What a frickin great life.....
