  1. Here's a video of Coverdale with DP back in 1974. In that respect, Glenn Hughes still sounds much much better than Coverdale does now. He still sounds great singing "Medusa" 35 years later. Back on track, there are so many routes an aging rocker can go, it's unfortunate that Coverdale ends up having to act pathetic on stage instead of being more about the music and less about the show.
  2. Very true! I'll give their stuff some more listening. Kinda forgot about the album for a while so it's about time for some revisiting.
  3. Thanks Strider! This summer is gonna be a great one for concerts! Sleater-Kinney is a really cool band, too. Kick-ass is a great term to describe them for sure. Enjoy the show!
  4. Very fair logic DL, can't argue with that! I bet Coverdale's voice will eventually warm up to me the more I listen to it I gotta say that this song's my favorite off the album for the moment. No doubt that'll change every other day or so
  5. Dark Lord, I'm curious to hear what your opinion is: which version of "Shake My Tree" do you like more: Coverdale Page or Page/Plant? Personally I'm a bigger fan of Page/Plant's version solely for the reason that I prefer Plant's voice over Coverdale's. Both versions Jimmy smokes it live, though!
  6. Next show for me is Tame Impala at the House of Blues Cleveland on June 4th! (last day of school, too ) They're releasing a new album "Currents" soon and the tour is going to be supporting the new album. They've always been a favorite of mine and it's gonna be a great way to kick off this summer, I can't wait! Also on the itinerary this year is Foo Fighters, The Who, and my buddy's local Pink Floyd tribute band "Wish You Were Here" a few times.

  8. Well, like Woz said - imagine you're a roadie and you've been out partying before the show and instead of having to retune the four strings with the much highers chance of breaking them, you have the option to only retune two. You're gonna opt for the two because 1) it's quicker 2) god knows how the show woulda went if each night Stairway was delayed because they were having difficulty re-stringing the guitar 3) everything runs smoother 4) in the words of woz, "if there's less to do, there's less to fuck up"
  9. Anybody else here fans of these guys?? Absolutely love Josh and his work with QotSA and Them Crooked Vultures. Like Clockwork has gotta be one of my favorite albums, although I can't really wrap my head around any of their stuff pre-Rated R - not a big Nick Oliveri fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvOOya9uSAU
  10. Wonderful job by the group! It's cool seeing Jason have a green sparkle kit, gotta love him. But yikes, he's put on some weight! Maybe some touring will shape him up a bit like his father
  11. I'm only 15 years old but I know what you guys are talking about with the feeling of finding something special when you buy a vinyl. There's two Exchanges around here in Cleveland and another private one called My Mind's Eye; my friend and I went up there on bikes literally every weekend to shop. My vinyl collection is larger than my digital music collection (which is a lot!!) The feeling of finding something you've been looking for is addicting! It's like I'm having a withdrawal every winter cause I can't go out and get some records! I'm lucky here that there are still a few around, it's gonna be rough if the stores close down. Now that I think about it, I still need to go up to My Mind's Eye and get a Zep boot over in the corner I hid! But I agree, the whole concept of driving somewhere to get a physical copy of music that has value is gone. Everything is completely digital now, which is really a shame...
  12. Maybe that smart car is Scarlett's? If she happened to move in with him, I could see that. On a second note, was that the Tower House Jimmy was in during It Might Get Loud when he was air guitaring to Rumble? I always wondered where that was shot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnyY3rJoaZ4
  13. For sure Fort Worth, the original soundboard that came out on EVSD sounded great already, but then the remaster that Liriodendron did made it even better!! That soundboard has so much warmth, clarity, and band separation that no other 77 soundboard has. And that the performance is really good too, the "tight but loose" concept is strong during this show, like you mentioned Nutrocker.
  14. ^ I saw that last night! Great video, really cool effects and such.
  15. Guys, seriously give this song a listen. It's one of my all time favorites, like a Doors/Zeppelin crossover. It gives me massive feels lol
  16. My two friends and little brother (I'm in the light blue) meeting Reignwolf at the Rock Hall back in July ^ a pic of the crowd and how close we were, we were front row!
