It’s closing in on 11:30 and the fog is starting to lift. Drove around with the top down, picking up Mrs W’s Christmas gift this morning and it was chilly, but still glorious being December 22.

Many of them and we’re close with the Wallace family. They’re from St. Louis as is my wife’s family. I’m sure they have to be devistated about this news as well. Both Rusty and Kenny drove for him. I agree with you here. To my ears the drums on the studio version sound like they were recording for the ITTOD sessions, but I know it was reportedly recorded back in ‘72. But much of sounds like it could’ve been ‘78 or even later, given Jimmy’s guitar sound. Whatever, I like it. Plus the mystique of it makes me like it even more. I hope we get a compilation of Japan ‘71. Peak performances abound during that tour.

Yup. ”Walter’s Walk” remains the anomaly of the Zeppelin catalog with full vocals being written and recorded after bonzo’s death. The song sounds closer to Pictures At Eleven than anything else, IMO. I still like it. Especially when they incorporated it into the Dazed and Confused jam.

RIP to personal and family friend and NASCAR legendary crew chief Barry Dodson. He was Rusty Wallace’s crew chief in 89 when he won the championship in the Winston Cup Series. He was a tortured soul after his 2 children died in a thanksgiving weekend car crash in 1994. He was very kind to our entire family and used to refer to junior as a “doll baby” back in 2003, when he would hold him. Very sad night, but I’m glad he is where he’s always wanted to be, with Trey and Tia. RIP Barry

Were carrying a large mortgage right now, but the base price of the house has already increased 40K - plus we put almost 30% down, so lots of equity right now. People said to put less down and invest the rest, but I’m not convinced the market isnt a house of cards right now. Real estate is always a good investment, down here. If you’re smart about the location, builder, etc. ✌🏼
