  1. Love that berkley '71 medley! Thank You - March 7, 1970 - Montreux
  2. After a long couple of days at work, just kickin' back with a corona and listening to the Intimidator concert. So nice! Is it still only Tuesday???
  3. Wonder if David Gilmour will join her? I know there is mutual respect and he's played on her studio stuff before.
  4. Happy Birthday ebk!!! Hope your O's win and you have a wonderful bottle of wine all to yourself!
  5. Sorry for your loss. At least she is not suffering any longer. Prayers go out to you and your family.
  6. jabe, it's simple. I had one sibling, a sister, whom I was different than in every possible aspect - still am. Going up in the mid/late 70's she was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, so I had to go with the team who was the complete opposite of them - the Dallas Cowboys. Plus my grandfather, whom I adored and named my son after, also was a Cowboys fan. So I've stuck with them through thick and thin for close to 40 years now.
  7. Thank you guys....she's amazingly tough. The last phase is experimental chemo, but it doesn't have the side effects the "bad" chemo did. That goes on until February. Thank you again for the kind words.
  8. Mrs. Walter finished her 34th and final round of radiation treatment today!!!
  9. Good for you Slave! Joe Walsh is always a highlight of the show. Enjoy!
  10. No, never. I can't imagine that it would get to that point before you would know that. HYE.....passionately kissed a person of your own gender?
  11. I thought he said...."there's a lot of double people there (swinging both ways)". But then again, I always f-up lyrics. Good amusement for my wife though, when I tell her what I thought I heard!
  12. Nope HYE....caught anything thrown by the band into the crowd?
  13. Well ol' Ted played here last night. He was booked at the House of Blues, but due to poor ticket sales the show was moved to a small club in downtown - The Beachum - that holds maybe 1,000 or so.
  14. The Cowboys defense couldn't be worse than last year, IMO. There is much more depth, but the high level talent is getting injured before they can even gel. Melton, Lee, Lawrence, Claiborne, etc. are all injured right now - some more than others. The offensive line is gonna have to control the game. It really is their strength right now. They will have to play smart and have smart play calling. That is where the bigger problem lies, IMO. The Giants o-line is not good. I don't think their defense is back up to snuff either. But Coughlin is a good coach and will make them competitive. The Redskins - yuck! I really think they are overrated. But they do have playmakers on offense, even though they are injury prone as the wr core have shown already. Plus a new head coach, who has never been a head coach (except in the Arena League) is also a huge unknown. The Eagles seem to be the safest bet. With that said, Foles had a perfect season last year and that still wasn't good enough - until Kyle Orton threw that INT at the end of the Eagles' last regular season game. Then they got their asses handed to them by the Saints - at home! I think you are correct, Rick, the Rams are an up and comer. That NFC West is the toughest of them all. It's gonna be a dog fight between all four teams. But I believe the NFC South will be improved, across the board. I do think the Panthers are going down with even less offense than last year. The Saints, I think that Brees' strained oblique muscle could be a bigger deal than what people originally thought. The Bucs have more offense and a good, proven head coach in Lovie Smith. The Falcons have to get better, they are too talented not to. That's a pretty even division, IMO. The NFC North has to be Green Bay's for the taking. The Bears and Lions have talent, but are also in transition. The Vikes are an unknown. The lost Allen to the Bears and he is a good locker room guy. The qb position is unsettled. They also have a new head coach. I'm getting fired up for this season to begin!!!
  15. Tough one....buttered I suppose. Ice skating or roller skating
  16. You're pretty much spot on, Paul, unfortunately. Mrs. Walter says that Jerry must be in financial trouble, and laying bets on the cowboys to lose to get himself out of debt. I'm beginning to think there is some truth there. He loves the headlines more than the playoffs evidently. I have been fan before him and I will be after him....
  17. He was truly an original. A very gifted entertainer in so many ways. Sad he didn't have inner peace and love himself. He had the means to get help, I wish more health plans covered mental health for people who don't have the means to seek help.
  18. He only drove them to 3 points on 4 possessions, so I wouldn't get too excited. If he keeps running around like that for long, he'll get cold cocked, IMO. Was that article link about scandrick? The season hasn't even begun and I'm quickly losing hope for a competitive campaign!
  19. Usually an act carried like that is out of anger. It will be interesting to see. It seems many comedians (I say that only as an observation over the years and not hard stats) fall into the depression category. So many try to self-medicate through drugs and alcohol abuse.
  20. Thanks for the pricing update. I was wondering if they had fallen or not.
  21. Mental illness is an epidemic in this country and needs to seriously be addressed. Sad for his family.
