  1. The guy sitting behind the lady (who looks to be possibly Indian or Moroccan?) during SIBLY is totally wasted! He can barely sit up!
  2. Agreed! Also, nice video clip. I've never heard that song before - like the sort of late 70's Eagles vibe that song has to it. Good music. Weren't they just on Austin City Limits? Peace.
  3. Yes, he was born over here. But, everything about his music, etc. is about Oz. I see his disc just went to #1 over there, first week out and is a purely independent release - financially and every other way. That's nice to see these days.
  4. Thanks for the info. Sam! Neither ticketmaster nor the venue have the Clearwater date listed as of yet...
  5. Well, I don't know if he is the next "guitar hero", but here is an artist from Oz who plays some amazing guitar. Here is a solo acoustic piece called "Ocean" by John Butler of the John Butler Trio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxG0zHX5H94 you decide for yourself....but at least he is still around and viable, unlike many of our other favorites out there.

    NASCAR 2010

So here we go with the return of the spoiler, in place of the wing. The drivers are saying there is not much of a difference in the way the car drives, but it is faster through the turns. I don't know how this is going to make for better racing, but the "fans" wanted Cup cars to have that look again. Whatever.... as long as the racing improves and doesn't suffer for cosmetic reasons. Speaking of racing suffering, what does everyone think about the racing at Bristol? When they first re-configured the track, I liked how racy it was. But now, it seems like all of the allure of rooting and gouging is not there anymore and the racing is not what it was! Looking forward to Martinsville this weekend - even though JJ has won 5 of the last 7. I will reluctantly pick him for this weekend, although the way Kurt Busch has been going lately, he might be a smart pick as well. What happened to our F1 report? Peace out everyone!
  7. and more recently Artie Lange....
  8. Get ready everybody, it is about to begin!! Hope your brackets are finished!
  9. An "official" show that is worth picking up is The Wall Live - "Is There Anybody Out There?". The album sounded better live with some good improvisations during Another Brick p.II, Mother, Young Lust, Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell. Even though the show itself didn't lend to a very creative atmosphere, I find that live version to be much better than the original release. I only have a few boots and they are pretty old and on vinyl (in storage). Others have remarked about finding shows on the web - I haven't though. Good luck. Peace.
  10. Funny that this was posted yesterday because I just listened to an old KISS album and thought - why hasn't Ace gotten involved in a group with other outstanding musicians? I know he has had bouts with addiction, etc. But, he is a great guitarist and seems like a good addition to a band. Maybe he is too difficult to work with in general?
  11. With this time change in place I also need a "FRESH POT"! Too funny!
  12. Again, as was stated by Electrophile, the bands have to be smart enough to have that kind of control in their contracts with their labels. This is not carte blanche for all bands, just the one's who have stipulated as such.
  13. ^ I bought the same shirt. Very cool pose with the double neck Gibson, right?
  14. Used To Get High - John Butler Trio
  15. Balls To The Wall - Accept
  16. I hope UVa kicks the shite out of Duke tonight!
  17. I'm glad that artists are still in control over how their music is delivered, at least the smart ones that put such provisions in their contracts.
  18. That's the spirit, telling us everything that happened on THAT day! Nice job.
  19. Love Me Two Times - The Doors
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNeSU78azn0 Just found this on youtube, Zappa w/ The Floyd, interesting!!
