  1. Can't wait! If they sound as good as they did on their DLR/VH reunion tour - it should be excellent. Love that Eddie's guitar sound has gone back to the old days. A surprising thing that I heard Michael Anthony say on "That Metal Show" was that he didn't do any background vocals until the Fair Warning disc - "Mean Street" is the first song he said that he sang on. They did joke that his voice was on tour with VH in '07, even if he wasn't! What was their best disc, in your opinion? It varies for me - Fair Warning is usually my first choice, but it depends on my mood.....
  2. You were speaking about the Zeppelin DVD not containing any '77 stuff - that is what I was commenting about. There is '77 video out there. The entire Seattle '77 video is pretty easy to find - for better or worse - and I have about 1 hr. of video from NY '77 that was shot from various view points during the show.
  3. I had never seen that footage before. Thanks SAJ for posting it!
  4. NY - 6/7/77 - In My Time Of Dying is kicking some serious arse!
  5. Ditto. Heard it the same way. Plus Steven has been down playing Joe Perry, etc., talking about him being wasted. So, it seems to be Steven's word vs. everyone else. Everyone can make up their own mind about that.
  6. Not true - newborns' eye sight is not acute at all. That is why they should be given patterns to look at in their first few months of life - so they develop the ability to focus their eyes. Sounds, on the other hand, are their first sense that is used - even in utero. Peace.
  7. The last Earl's Court show was close to 4 hours, wasn't it? On the '77 tour the last LA Forum show clocks in around 3 1/2 hours. Those are better documented shows, where as the Boston Tea Party is a speculated length of time. Anyway, I am sure the people who are better authorities on shows than I am will give you more precise information than I am able to do. Welcome to the forum!
  8. I thought the same thing! Saw him last summer @ Clearwater and always looking for some Florida dates - strange.
  9. I was young when it came out and I remember "Fool In The Rain" being so different from the other Zep I had heard in passing (wasn't a big fan at that point) and in the years that followed "Carouselambra" kinda got lost in that whole "Miami Vice" keyboard sound, for me - I was more into the 80's metal scene. It wasn't until later that I really became appreciative of the musical value of that song. It would have been nice to see what they would have done with that song, live, in the 80's. Was nice to hear it inserted into ITE during the P/P tours.
  10. Pink Floyd "Animals" - I always get lost in my thoughts while driving the interstate listening to this disc, then 45 min. has passed!
  11. I agree! My 6-year-son is always tapping his toes to Zep as we drive around - refers to Whole Lotta Love as "The Sneeze Song", because of the wah, wah, waaaaahhhhhhh part towards the end!
  12. I know leddy - that's why I gave him his point. He is correct and I said so, so there! Reggie's a good guy, it's not an issue at all.
  13. I really enjoy reading your posts. You give great insight and sense of humor! Peace.

  14. If you search around the dvd, you'll find a video from '77 (Birmingham, AL I believe) that is synched to The Song Remains The Same from LA 6/21/77 (Listen To This Eddie). That is all that I know from the '77 tour on the dvd. Too bad more video documentation from that tour isn't anywhere to be found.
  15. JBT comes over to EU quite often actually. Lots of UK and French dates played over the last year. Rock On back to ya!

  16. Hey Missy. Just been checking out the new NY '77 show a lot lately. I enjoyed the video you posted. You should get the Earl's Court 5/24 and 5/25 dvd's that are out there. Both are great shows and pretty much complete soundboard recordings. Have a good weekend.

  17. Hey there spidersandsnakes. Have you ever been to a JBT show? Amazing band, no matter which members are in. If you like JBT, you should check out Xavier Rudd also. Take care.

  18. Reggie, when are you going to get off this? Yes, John was born in America - but he never began playing music until his family moved to Oz and the Trio are an Australian Band. His first guitar came from his grandfather, in Australia and he began his career by busking - in Australia. I enjoy your posts and your point has been made. I will continue to thank Australia for John Butler Trio. Peace.
  19. Xavier Rudd and the John Butler Trio!!
  20. Didn't they choose to support the charity when they chose to play the event? As Leddy said - that's one way of looking at it.
  21. Leddy, it absolutely is the show all Floyd fans have been waiting for! I saw the Gilmour-led Floyd a number of times and this Wall show feels so much more like a Floyd show than they did. No disrespect to David, as they put on great shows as well, but this show had the grit that was missing before - Animals era type of grit. You know what I mean? I won't tell you too much and ruin any potential surprises, but at the end when everyone is chanting "tear down the wall" - it was the most intense experience I have ever had at a rock 'n roll concert. Just an amazing show! I don't know how many concerts I have been to the last 30 years (and it has been MANY), but I can't say that anyone of them was better than Roger's "The Wall" show. Get to your seat at least 10 min. before the show begins (the PA announce gives you an idea of how much time until they take the stage) and take in all of the nuances of what is going on. The intermission is also something that shouldn't be missed either. Have a good one!!
  22. Think of all of the money the dvd could have earned if their vanity didn't get in the way. I know the P/P dvd did give some $ in place of it - but come on now. I know I would have bought a copy if LZ was included. That is why I have a copy of Live 8 show - for the Pink Floyd set only. When Phil Collins introduced Plant, Page, Jones, etc. - it was pure magic. It still makes the hair on my arms stand up....
