  1. ALL-STAR Race this weekend, with a cool $1,000,000 to the winner. Who will it be? I'll put money on #99. Also, Kimi's NASCAR debut in Friday night's Truck race. Tonight is the Pit Crew Challenge as well. Lots of events in Charlotte over the next two weeks.
  2. ^ On the flip side, we have had 22 days at 90 or above thus far. Average 110 days a year at that level, so we are waaay ahead of schedule. Plus starting tomorrow we will be back in the low to mid 90's for the rest of the week. Oh well, just have to get back in that pool again this weekend!
  3. ^ Just listen to the shows from '80. There is no way he could come close to the notes he would have to hit for Immigrant Song - nor the power with which the notes had to be belted out. I also think '77 set list was the best. Knebworth was more comprehensive, as far as covering more songs, but the feel for the '77 set list flowed better (IMO). Especially when they started to add a song between Kashmir and ALS, instead of just the endless soloing that took place during that part of the show.
  4. As a side note, the back cover of "Diver Down" is from one of those concerts opening for the Rolling Stones in Orlando @ the Citrus Bowl. Thanks for sharing the information from the tour - very cool indeed!
  5. "Class.....class......class......SHUT UP! Thank you." "I've gotta go to the can, man!" Funny sh!t.
  6. Dance In The Dark - Lady Gaga
  7. MAJOR KICK ASS!!! Just love to see those three getting along better and playing together from time to time at different events! That was truely an AWESOME show - The Wall tour - that Roger put together. Peace.
  8. Has he ever played Zep songs, other than in the context of a Zeppelin reunion? As for the 02 show, from what I have read and heard, the set list was a collective group decision. Like Strider said, there doesn't seem to be any basis for this discussion.
  9. Thanks Sam! I will be checking out one of those times for sure.
  10. Big City Nights - Scorpions
  11. City Don't Cry - Page/Plant
  12. In The City - The Eagles
  13. Slurp, slurp, slurp..... yes, NASCAR is sucking Kyle Busch's d!ck again! Let me see if I have this right.....he goes down 4 lanes and intentionally turns another driver in front of about 30 cars coming at a rate of approx. 180 mph, then hits/pushes an unmanned car on pit road when there are crew members, NASCAR officials and media members walking around - and he gets a $25,000 fine along with 4 POINTS race probation???
  14. The Beautiful Ones - Prince
  15. ^ I agree. They sound just like they could have recorded this back in the 80's. Not a huge Cars fan, but they were one of the few 80's "New Wave" bands I could listen to. Thanks for the link - it provided good background music while I was getting some work done. Good effort Ric & Co!
  16. Fair Warning has always been my fav. VH album. Love the live clip from "So This Is Love?" that MTV used to play. Thanks, Jahfin, for posting that "Mean Street" video. Found it interesting that you can hear the ending for "Hot For Teacher" at the end of the song. I also remember Michael Anthony saying that was the first song he sang backup for.
  17. Agreed! Saw them on four consecutive tours back in 90's - every show was fantastic. Just haven't caught up with them recently.
  18. Pretty good show - I think it is funny to listen to the guys talking in between the songs. The one guy seems apologetic saying, "they're usually better than this?!". Good show. I am currently listening to Seattle 7/17/73.
  19. Kahne will be in a Chevy next year, with Hendrick. He needed a place to drive for this season, before his contract kicks in with HMS starting in 2012. So, that is why he is driving for Red Bull (Toyota) this season.
  20. Jahfin - I know you are into all sorts of music. Just wanted to give you heads up on a band coming to Raleigh - the John Butler Trio - to the Lincoln Theatre. It is July 20 and tickets are on sale Friday - presale today through his website. Don't know if you'll go, but just wanted to let you know. They are fantastic live, a real treat. Peace.

  21. Caught the documentary last night - good show. Gonna pick up a copy tonight on my way home. Saw them perform Sat. night on SNL and they rocked nicely.
  22. Huh, what? Oh, I just woke up from it - feel asleep when Butler missed 13 shots in a row! I guess UConn won.....
