  1. Yeah, I saw the roast - Delana did quite a job on him! But, that is really their relationship - they poke at each other a lot. Kimi is first going to run the truck race in Charlotte the weekend of the all-star race. We wants to try out Nationwide and then Cup this season also, but is looking for who would be best to get him into a quality ride. He is going to drive one of Kyle Busch's trucks, but since KBR doesn't field the other levels he is looking elsewhere. Gibbs doesn't run a 4th car, so that would be the logical move - but who knows. It should be interesting to see him at Charlotte though - it's not the easiest track to begin with. This past weekend was almost like an off-week for me - it seemed like the race never really happened! Friday night was basically the same, other than Busch getting wrecked by the lapped car that broke in front of him.
  2. Well, I just finally woke up after Sat. nights bore fest in Texas. Man 500 miles at that track - at night to boot - is waaaaay too long! Reminds me of the 2 - 24 hour races they have up in Pocono every year! Anyway, the year is generally off to a fine start. My boy, Harvick, has a couple of wins under his belt already. New point system doesn't seem to be any different than the old one. What about Kimi coming to NASCAR next month? How many F1 guys does that make? Plus isn't Hamilton and Stewart doing the ride swap thing up at The Glen later this summer? Pull those belt straps tight one more time - it's 'Dega week!!
  3. I don't hear it being louder than the other songs on my disc 3. When The Levee Breaks' drum start is not very loud at all, takes away from it's power, on my disc. Different pressings, different results, I guess.
  4. Classic photos! Thanks for sharing!!
  5. I did the same thing - look into other areas of the site that I previously hadn't. Great site Sam, glad things are back the "normal" - whatever that means!!
  6. Keep dreaming Sammy..... I saw VH with Sammy on their F.U.C.K. tour and he was terrible! He just kept shouting obscenities, acting drunk and screaming the whole show - very disappointing! He definitely is very full of himself, that's for sure.
  7. Well, it looks like SU got another case of the stupid! I mean 17 turnovers?!
  8. Definitely the lyrics are, maybe that's what makes these songs not as enjoyable 17+years after the fact. I was just comparing it to Outrider and the P/P efforts - which I personally enjoy much more after the years have passed. Or, maybe that was just a drunk post as I was still having shots at 11:30 that night watching basketball!
  9. I hope all is well with you, SAJ. Take care brother! My school is also planning a relief effort for Japan. All of these little efforts can add up to something big. I am so impressed with the people of Japan with everything that is going on. They are a true sign that society as a whole can act civil in the face of a catastrophe/tragedy of epic proportions! Instead of looking out for themselves, people are working towards the greater good of everyone. Godspeed to you all. Peace.
  10. I had 3rd row tickets for that tour, and then it was cancelled! Anyway, at the time I thought it was really Page's follow-up to Presence. But, after time has passed, I do find it to be a rather shallow effort from Jimmy. That's being compared to Outrider and P/P releases that bookend the disc. I enjoy some songs, but overall it doesn't stand the test of time as his well as some of his other post Zep works do. That's just my opinion.
  11. 'cuse is up by 13 in the first half. GO ORANGE!!
  12. ^ I don't believe anyone said that she was a die-hard fan. DavidZoso, I also like her music. I think she has a great voice, seems to be very honest and genuine with her fans, plus is a great performer. I am really not that into all of the dancing, what caught my eye was watching her perform on Good Morning America last summer. She was playing a new song "You and I" - which apparently will be on her new disc - on the piano, just singing with a lot of emotion. From what I can tell she improvises a lot within her songs, both vocally and musically. The artists that I enjoy the most don't do their songs the same way, every time. She is a talented young lady and more than just a Madonna "type" pop star, IMO. To each, his own. If she not your "cup of tea" then so be it. Even though I don't enjoy some of the artists that are in this "other bands" section, I don't just jump in to trash them and sometimes I'll find something they do that I actually like. Peace.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. Outside of the band members and other musicians influenced by Syd, I haven't read anyone else speak about him.
  14. Yeah, he did it also during Dazed... in TSRTS movie.
  15. Wow! Pretty closed minded to think she will never create anything you would enjoy listening to. Also, I know the website is getting close to being full and all - you know with these unnecessary threads, like songs that make you laugh, etc. I thought the relevance of the biggest pop star in the world carrying around a framed poster of Zeppelin in her mobile studio was interesting - being a Zeppelin fan - and something that people might want to know. Sorry to clutter up the forum with this! Type O, you may send over the Unnecessary Thread Police to set me straight and take me away! Peace.
  16. What would the recording quality more closely resemble: Oakland 9/2/70 or LA 9/4/70? In other words what other shows is the sound quality similar to? Thanks! Peace.
  17. I bid Evster good health. Really miss his insightful posts on the various musical topics we share. Your in my thoughts, brother. Peace.
  18. Buckeye, come on now, OSU should be dissed with the way they have handled the whole football saga that's been going on. With that said, I do think it will be an OSU v. Kansas final. Barkley just likes to run his mouth - as he has for almost 30 years now! I am rooting for Syracuse - GO ORANGE!
  19. I was watching the 60 Minutes story they ran on her last month. Part of the story was conducted in her mobile studio that goes with her while she is on tour. There were various framed posters around the room, but over the console in a very prominent position was the classic "Swan Song" Led Zeppelin poster. Nice to see that she has great taste in music. I do know that she has mentioned Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and The Stones as music she grew up listening to, with her father. Anyway, just saw it the other night and was surprised to see that poster front and center. Great taste Gaga!
  20. SAJ - very glad to hear you are alright! My thoughts are with you guys over there - I've been watching the pictures coming in on CNN.com and it is so sad to see what has happened and is still happening. Peace.
  21. Vancouver '75 - The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song - great versions!!!
