  1. I like the fact you are now quoting and responding to yourelf Y.C.! They should've dropped that name years ago. Imagine the Atlanta Blackskins or something in that same vein - not very classy. Even our Syracuse dropped their name out of respect. I am with you on the b.s. lawsuits, it was Thomas Jefferson who said, "kill all the lawyers" what over 200 years ago?
  2. Agreed! I LOVE the songs on CODA, but can't compare it to the others because the way it was put together. The extra songs from ITTOD give us a look at where Zep may have been heading at the time.
  3. Presence for me. Like others above, it depends on the mood though!
  4. Truckin' - The Grateful Dead
  5. '77/'78, it's not like we're discussing the release of Dark Side or anything. I'll have to check my Floyd books at home and see where their paths crossed first. I know I read something about Snowy being involved with Gilmour before performing with Floyd. Anyway, I bet this is the longest discussion on Snowy White in history!
  6. Well, he joined Guns N Roses, so maybe he does enjoy animosity. Because if you take a job as a guitarist for G n R, you surely will not have anonymity! Didn't Axl fire him anyway? Along with how many other musicians at this point?
  7. Down - Stone Temple Pilots
  8. Yes, it was being worked out as early as '73, but much more obviously in '75 to me. ^ The rest of your post doesn't really make sense to me as far as substituting D&C for the guitar/bow solo leading into Achillies, like you earlier had wished for. Back to the thread topic, the video from the tour really captures what you lucky ones are saying here - the crowd, the vibe, the showmanship, and of course the musical volume (especially Bonzo) really is not captured very well in the soundboard bootlegs at all. Just the mistakes are and that is a shame. At least you all have your memories... and we have some link to the tour through other sources. Peace
  9. Fool On The Hill - The Beatles
  10. ^ Even on his '77 solo release? I thought I saw him listed. Oh well... I do know that Snowy was a friend of the band and of course everyone seemed to jump to one ship or the other after all the fall out in the 80's.
  11. Move To The City - Guns 'n Roses
  12. That sucks! The story is not correct, Atlanta was the 3rd show (W. Palm, Tampa, Atl.). They did all look and sound like they had their sh!t together. I am still in Jane's listening mode "three days" after the show. Been listening to them all day. I can't believe they would postpone the other dates - too much $ invested in the tour. Get well soon Perry!!
  13. When Page begins the progression of notes just before Bonham comes in with the drums and Plant begins singing you can hear it. It is difficult to put in words, especially not being a guitartist, but you can clearly hear it. Sorry for the lack of techinical terms, actually a friend of mine who is a guitarist noticed it first after listening to 5/24/75 Earl's Court D&C.
  14. ^Lots of words to choose from here City - Jane's Addiction
  15. According to a quote by Jimmy, he wasn't "dazed and confused" anymore! Plus that makes the show waaaaaay too long and also the musical portion where they played "Woodstock" during D&C in '75 ended up being a part of the framework for Achillies' Last Stand, so that wouldn't work anymore. Some things run their course...
  16. And remember they had just released the movie, TSRTS, less than a year before the tour. I think it was a great opener for THAT tour. As said before it just set the stage perfectly for "three hours of lunacy".
  17. Never Say Die - Black Sabbath
  18. ^ Agreed. I love the power chords and riffs Navarro puts out, along with the great percussion and bass, plus they have such great stage presence. You never know what you are going to get when Perry plays live!
  19. Great show Sat. night in Tampa. NIN's website had Jane's listed as support, but they actually headlined and closed the show. They opened with Three Days, Whores, Ain't No Right and Pigs In Zen. They played only songs from Nothing Shocking and Ritual... Played all of their favorites: Been Caught Stealing, Mountain Song, Standing In The Shower Thinking, Ocean Size, etc. Encore was Stop and Jane's Says. Dave Navarro was amazing and Perry was, well, Perry. His voice didn't seem as strong as on their last tour - but he is still an amazing frontman. Great to hear the original four together again. I don't know if they are flipping the headline part of the show, but it would be very difficult to come out after the energy and set list that Jane's put out. What show are you going to Wolfman?
  20. Stand and Deliver - Adam Ant
  21. All My Love - two reasons. 1. It was our 1st dance song at our wedding and 2. The way it ties in emotion with family and healing. Like the Immigrant Song approach too ^
