  1. http://www.livedaily.com/news/18891.html Hmmmmmm......... Here we go again - what will Myles Kennedy be doing while they are on tour together again as Creed? I couldn't resist when I read this today!
  2. I know he played on David's solo disc released around '77 or '78, which was a tremendous release might I add. I do also know that Snowy was playing in the "seregate band" during The Wall tour and I believe he was playing backup at the Live 8 reunion. Anyway.....
  3. Tells me Buffalo is a cheap organization and Washington with "The Daniel" over pays their assistants. It is funny how cities like Pittsburgh are considered "small market" in one sport (baseball), but in another sport are more than competitive (football). Again, we're talking football here. Speculation running wild after the draft. Let's see who did their homework on their drafties professional potential and not just on a name and reputation. New thread needed Yukon.
  4. I personally am not overally fond of this show. In My Time Of Dying is exceptional, as is Achillies Last Stand and the acoustic set. The sound is still so flat to me, as compared to Destroyer. Just my opinion.
  5. There is nothing to "have it out" about. Still haven't heard how the "greedy" Giants and Cowboys are ruining the sport of football for smaller market teams.
  6. Waters does still come across quite smug. He scoffs at his lyrical work on Dark Side and other pieces of early work - which compared to his more recent stuff seems laughable. To each his own. I have seen the Floyd members collectively and solo, with the exception of Waters. His voice is certainly worse for the wear, as evident by his performance at Live Earth a couple of years ago.
  7. Meddle is a great disc and a very good representation of where they were at the time. Even if Seamus seems like a throw away track, it was them experimenting. I love whole disc because it wasn't over played like much of their music that follows Obscured By Clouds - which really links them to the Dark Side... sound they were beginning to create. As far as greedy, Roger was greedy with song writing/royalties credit at the end. But, he and Gilmour always made sure Syd's family received his money for their early stuff. Plus, Floyd never ripped off their fans like The Eagles and others have done since then. I think any greediness in the Floyd was just another war they were fighting within.
  8. I was just about to post that section of the book on Grant. I finished reading it a couple of months ago and remember Peter being remorseful about what happened that night. Thanks for your usual follow through with great info.
  9. Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails - May 9.
  10. Amen to that! The Eagles are truely bullsh!t, money grubbing, ego maniacs - led by Frey/Henley of course. They don't sound the same at all without Felder, even having over 10 other musicians on stage with them now. It is too bad that Floyd (Waters) did what they did to each other - even he (Waters again) regrets that now. I also hear that Mason and Gilmour are not on the best of terms with each other currently.
  11. Give me a break - are we talking baseball or football? FOOTBALL HAS A SALARY CAP As far as baseball goes - it sucks so who the f*ck cares about A-Dousche! Last time the Yanks won a World Series was back in 2000, by the way. You still have not stated how the Cowboys and Giants are "greedy" while your poor Bills are not given an equal chance! Other than players possibly wanting to go to a SUCCESSFUL organization in football to become part of a legacy or get higher exposure, all teams have a pretty equal chance at creating a winning team.
  12. I: Good Times Bad Times Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Dazed And Confused II: Ramble On Livin' Lovin' Maid Bring It On Home III: Celebration Day That's The Way Out On The Tiles IV: Misty Mountain Hop Four Sticks Black Dog Houses: The Ocean The Crunge The Song Remains The Same Physical: The Rover Ten Years Gone Custard Pie Presence: Royal Orleans Hots On For Nowhere Achilles Last Stand In Through: I'm Gonna Crawl Fool In The Rain South Bound Suarez Coda: Ozone Baby Darlene Poor Tom Ask me tomorrow, this list would probably not be the same - depends on the mood for some songs.
  13. Oh yeah and how are the Giants and Cowboys "greedy" either? Everyone wants to win - or should want to anyway - or get the hell out of the sport!
  14. How are the Giants and Cowboys escalating things? There is a salary cap and all teams have to follow it - even if they are creative in the way they defer payments. Besides, if it costs 1 billion dollars to buy the Giants and only 500 million dollars to buy the Bills, why shouldn't the Giants be able to spend more to get, what they they perceive as, quality players. Money doesn't guarantee wins. Quit crying small market teams!
  15. I honestly don't know what the answer is to your question. Since you have Pulse, did he use it on Keep Talking live?
  16. There are a couple of songs, I must admit, that I do skip. That is the great thing about them, different parts of discs come to you at different times - sometimes it takes seeing it performed live. The only exception is their Pop disc, which I still haven't gotten into. I feel the majority of No Line On The Horizon is some of their strongest material ever. I can't wait to see them live this fall!! I must agree with Ninelive and Knebby. IMO.
  17. Went and saw Classic Albums Live: Led Zep - Physical Graffiti this past Sat. night and it was very good. They had up to 9 musicians playing at any given time, but they recreated the songs perfectly (even fading them out, when required). Four guitartists were used for Ten Years Gone. Then they did encores after: Moby Dick, How Many More Times, The Lemon Song, Communication Breakdown, Rock and Roll, and Whole Lotta Love. Very nice.
  18. Is this previously unreleased music? I'll have to check that out. Thanks.
  19. Because David didn't want to be known as a Peter Frampton clone!

    AC/DC

How's Brian Johnson's voice live these days? Seemed like he was losing his power in concerts I have listened to in the past. Just wondering.

    Pet Peeves

    Oh, this is nice.....
  22. Hey there "greenroom". Welcome to the forum. Peace.
  23. I had never put all of that together, either, until reading an interview with Waters about the Animals disc. Learn a little about the figures in British politics and rock out at the same time - what a concept!!
  24. My father used to play Whole Lotta Love to me when I was a baby (or so I have been told), still have the mono 45 from back then. So I guess that's what started me. A funny side note is that I played Whole Lotta Love for my 5 year old and he loved it. He now refers to it as the "sneeze song" because of Robert's "ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhhhhhhhhhh". It is very comical to hear him do it!
